I understand it's not fair. And I know the story how pampering a person that always complains is anything but civil, but power is just power. it's like a wraith, a ghost, just like me in this case. 

Taken from an webcomic known as "long live summons" - there was a liche. The liche could summon a creature that's unbeatable. And yet, even it had a weakness, a core, and the main character defeated that liche, precisely hitting it's core. 

The lesson here is not to set boundaries and limits. The principle is: "The stronger they are, the greater their fall".

That character... doesn't have just one, but three main weaknesses compared to a power with JUST potential. Further, his demands, abeit painful, only make things a bit more complicated. Just a war with a grossly misunderstood set of aliens, in equivalence.
