Alright! Took me the better part of a day, but I finally put something together that seemed halfway decent! I think I may have accidentally made him depressed though, which is a far darker direction than I had planned when I started. Trying to stay optimistic though, so it just means he now has a character arc up and ready to go! Stop that before you get yourself killed you dumbass!" [sub]Name[/sub]
Joseph Moore
[sub]Age[/sub]
Nineteen
[sub]Gender[/sub]
Male
[sub]Physical Description[/sub]
Joseph is pretty average looking all things considered. Brown hair, brown eyes, about 5'9" in height. No scars, no birthmarks, nothing. The most stand out thing about him, at least in the eyes of the people around him, seems to be his glasses. Other than that, he's stock standard. Average. Boring. And he hates it.
[sub]Personality[/sub]
Much like his appearance, Joseph's personality has been called bland by many around him. He finds it easier to stand back and observe what goes on around him, and while he does often feel an urge to comment on what he sees, the sense that he would be better served keeping it to himself tends to outweigh those feelings. He'll try to be friendly to others, but he would rather stay quiet and keep his head down, otherwise he might just piss everyone off. Essentially, he has little to no confidence or self esteem anymore, so he'd rather just try to live his life without making much of an impact. Occasionally though, he'll see something particularly strange, which will temporarily cause his self-control to collapse leading to an outburst as he questions just what the hell is happening. Despite his intentions to keep his head down, he honestly does wish he could be more interesting to people. However, when he's tried in the past, it has only ever blown up in his face, so he's just given up. Now all he can do is retreat into his hobbies, most of which allow him to stay out of other peoples way.
[sub]Likes & Dislikes[/sub]
Likes: Reading, drawing, peace and quiet, secret love of really bad puns, Filipe the turtle. Dislikes: Being the center of attention, situations spiraling out of control, spiders.
[sub]Biography[/sub]
In all honesty, Joseph has had a pretty uninteresting life. Even as a kid, he wasn't exactly outgoing, preferring to sit on the sidelines and draw rather than get into the middle of it and try to join a group of friends, most of which had already been established by the time his family moved to the island. For a while, things were fine like that, but then he just had to start opening his big, stupid mouth. Now, this may surprise some of you, but Joseph was never very good at talking to people. He was a pretty shy person in general, but there was also the fact that he really didn't have that much experience talking to anyone who didn't already know him really well. Because of this, when he finally decided that it might be kind of nice to have at least one friend who wasn't already in his family, he completely botched the introduction. What was meant to be a friendly joke about the person he was talking to came out sounding a lot more like an insult, and from that day on he had made an enemy of one of the most popular kids in his school, and in turn the bullying from people who probably would've been pretty friendly had the introduction gone well... By the time he started high school, Joseph had learned his lesson. Trying to talk to people would only end in disaster, as most of the times he did, it seemed like he would just spout whatever he was thinking and insult them by accident. Eventually, by keeping his sentences short and to the point, he managed to train this habit out of his usual speech, but by then it was far too late. So he keeps to himself again, spending his free time alone and drawing so he doesn't upset anyone else. Hell, the only reason he even applied for the service was because he thought the whole skybike thing would let him stay out of other peoples way, making it the ideal job for him. Also, the views would be pretty nice. Might make for some good inspiration, you know?
[sub]Relationships[/sub]
To be determined later throughout the roleplay.
[sub]Other[/sub]
He has a pet turtle, named Filipe, and while he likes it well enough, he's pretty sure it might actually be evil somehow, simply from the fact that it seems to glare at him whenever it thinks he isn't looking.
