[b][color=598527]Biography:[/color][/b] Salem was brought up in a large mansion. He was raised by his mother, father, and aunt as well, alongside his cousin. The entire family line has been comprised of plant mages, each branching out to use their powers to either help others, or make profit. Growing up he was taught alchemy; how to craft perfumes, ointments, cooking magic, and much more. Alongside these lessons were those on how to garden. Learning to 'listen' to the plants, hear their needs, and nurture them to maturity. These were used to not only help him become a better plant mage, but also to help become a better person.

His father may have taken the Spellman name, but he did not exactly inherit their personality and views. He showed Salem that others have different motives. People, namely vampires and non mages, are always [i]wanting[/i] something. 'Nothing is for free in this world. Not even friendship, to think so is to allow yourself to fall prey to those who seek to take advantage of our power...[i]your[/i] power.' These words stuck to Salem like a bad memory, instead of inspiring him to rise above others, it made him feel unwanted, used, and a burden. He began to wonder if his friends truly did like him, or was it just due to his prestigious lineage?
