Bio: Log #1 A translated letter from Zhukova's shopkeep; 'To my Essie, My magnum opus, my beautiful angel. No matter how old you get I still see vibrance in those blue eyes of yours, your smile alone stops my heart and leaves me breathless. For you, my love - I captured your youth, our most precious memories. You can see that she looks just like you when you were younger, sometimes I fool myself into thinking that she is you... But alas, nothing can replace my sweetest Essie. Consider her a gift so that you may look back on times when you were happiest... I am aware that you will never feel the same, you will never love me as I did you. I am aware that you are repulsed by my presence, you think I am mad, you think I am... Broken. Yet nothing you can do or say will stop me from loving every fiber of your being. Essie, my beacon. Please grant me one last wish and accept this gift. - Aleksei Zhukova' The shopkeeper has been identified as Aleksei Zhukova born at an unknown date in the late 1800s, he lived in a remote town located in Cheremkhovo Russia. Through the letter left behind it has been assumed that Specimen #334-56-i29 is a porcelain recreation of Zhukova's 'lover', however it is evident that Zhukova is in fact stalking - or rather, had been stalking the original Essie since her youth. The doll and letter was returned to him, that or it had never been sent in the first place due to the fact that both the letter and doll were acquired on the lowest floor of his shop. Log #2 Specimen #334-56-i29 was retrieved in early April of 2010 after Cheremkhovo was left abandoned due to unknown circumstances. An armed military team of five were the first and last to be deployed in Cheremkhovo. The team's captain Walters lead the group through the town finding no abnormalities until Zhukova's shop was within view. Two members commented on a light buzzing noise though no further symptoms were reported. Captain Walters issued a sweep and was the first to enter the shop. He described the scene as such; 'Old, vintage... Uhh, it was like being sent back in time, you'd expect something old to be dusted and falling apart but it looked like it had been swept and polished yesterday. No one was inside, no one that we saw. The appearance of the shop was the only thing that - y'know... Felt off.' Walters proceeded to explore the upper portion of the store finding nothing of interest. When the team entered the basement floor they discovered a humanoid figure shrouded in cloth atop a workshop table. Zhukova's letter was discovered in a drawer with tools he used to make his dolls. Log #2.5 [Interview:Walters] Dr. Reynolds: "So... What did you do?" Walters: "With what? You mean the crap on the table? Martinez pulled the cloth off and that was when we found the doll, it didn't move at all, not an inch I mean - the hell would you expect? It's a doll." Dr. Reynolds: "What activated the doll?" Walters: "The letter came with a key, small and silver like it was meant for a locket. Martinez found a hole on the nape of its neck that matched the shape so we put two and two together. It... It didn't do anything at first, it only moved when Martinez pulled away. Obviously our first instinct was to shoot the thing, we did. We let loose on it, we broke it into tiny little pieces." Dr. Reynolds: "When did you stop shooting?" Walters: "When it stopped moving. And it did. I called for backup to get us out and to take the evidence... It..." Dr. Reynolds: "Your other members said that Specimen #334-56-i29 started to snap together." Walters: "Like a puzzle. It was insane." Dr. Reynolds: "What further initiative did you take?" Walters: "We kept our guns trained on it. Usually with... Things like that you'd expect it to get right back up and maul you, but it didn't."
