Here's my precious teacher man, hope he doesn't get eaten [s]even though he definitely will[/s]
[sup][sub]#2B60DE| Joseph Gordon-Levitt[/sub][/sup]

Wyatt McCarthy [sup]Middle School Science Teacher[/sup]

[sub]
Physical Characteristics
[/sub] Wyatt always looks a bit disheveled, even for the zombie apocalypse. Standing at just over 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds, he’s somewhat on the scrawnier side. His eyes and hair are both a light brown color. [sub]
Life Before the Apocalypse
[/sub] “Before all this? Oh, Christ...I was a teacher. I was in line to get promoted to administration for the district, actually. But I mostly just taught middle schoolers. It was stressful as shit, managing all those kids, but I liked the work. The kids used to laugh because my handwriting was bad, but hey, they still liked me. I never got paid much, but the students were worth it. Thinking about them now, I...I don’t even know if they’re alive anymore. Back when everything started, it was just supposed to be a normal fucking day; the students were taking a test, and I was playing Cookie Clicker on my computer. Then suddenly, the principal comes over the loudspeaker and says there’s some kind of outbreak. That the school day was ending early and everyone had to go home. Of course, the students were just glad they got a short day; they didn’t really understand. I got in my car, turned the radio on, and suddenly I hear that people are dying. I didn’t know what to do, so I just went home. Then things got worse. A few of those monsters broke a window and got inside. I didn’t know how to kill them yet, so I just drove off. And now I’m here.” [sub]
Strengths & Weaknesses
[/sub] ➕ Intelligence - Wyatt’s greatest asset is his intelligence. He’s not necessarily a genius, but his chemistry degree didn’t come from nowhere. He’s a fast learner and puts things together easily. ➕ Personable - Having been a teacher for six years-and having to deal with both angry parents and hormonal pre-teens-Wyatt has learned how to get along with people. He’s easy to talk to and confide in. ➖ Athleticism - Wyatt never had to think about exercise before all this. As a result, he tires easily and struggles to keep up with the more athletic members of the group. ➖ Indecisive - Wyatt struggles to make quick decisions, especially when panicked or under pressure. As such, he is prone to making mistakes or slipping up when it really counts. [sub]
Personal Goals
[/sub] For now, Wyatt’s main goal is finding a place to set up shop. He’s hoping they might find a school like the one he used to work at; it had a metal fence all the way around, the doors were nearly impossible to break down, and there was a working kitchen in the cafeteria. Wyatt would also like to learn some basic first aid from the medical professionals in the group; they might not always be around, and he'd like to have some knowledge of how to patch up a wound. Long term, Wyatt would like to find some textbooks and school supplies. There are kids in the group who, up until recently, were in school. It might help them to have some basic schooling despite everything going on around them. Sure, it's not exactly a group priority right now, but education might be the first step toward rebuilding society. He was a teacher, after all. Maybe he still could be. [sub]
Inventory
[/sub] Wyatt didn’t have a lot of practical supplies on him when he fled from his house. What he does have is a leather satchel that he used to store notes and papers in. Inside are a flashlight, a hammer, some gauze, a Swiss Army knife, and a pair of binoculars. His prize possession-a single roll of toilet paper-is tucked away deep inside. He will never share it.
