Antoinette has a lot of unique, personal style. She enjoys wearing every colour, in any combination. Purples and yellow, blues and oranges. Stripes with checkers and everything in-between. Clothes are just another art piece and another statement to make. For her daily clothes she prefers jeans to leggings and a cardigan or long sleeved shirt over any tank top or t-shirt she wears. However, Antoinette is known to wear unique dresses that cause people to stare and question why she would wear that in a simple setting or even an art showing. Hats, this girl loves hats. Berets to feminine top hats, baseball caps to giant sun hats and even those little hats that simply clip in.
Eye makeup isn’t a thing, her blue eyes are vibrant enough and her true eyes are a statement all their own. She wears a little red lipstick to contrast against her pale skin and light coloured hair but other than that, she won’t touch make-up.

Soft-spoken and a little quirky to some, Antoinette carries her soul on her sleeve. Although intelligent and intuitive, Antoinette seems a bit lost. She is found staring into nothing, but her mind is moving quickly over her life before X-Men and her life since joining. So much trauma was bound to catch up sooner rather than later.
Her paintings have shifted to reflect this inner battle within herself. A desire to move from the timid Irish girl into the assertive American who can fight for her fellow mutants' freedom and her own. This is her story now and her way of telling it.
Antoinette is passionate in many areas of her life, from her painting to friendships and training; there isn’t much that Antoinette won’t sink her focus into nowadays. She was made a fighter at a young age. That need to strive and survive hasn’t waned, but it has grown into something new to fit her changing colour palate.

[b][color=#DDA0DD]How did you discover your powers:[/color][/b] 
After the loss of her mother, Annie and her father traveled in order to get ahead of their enemies. In one week they had stayed in seventeenth different hostiles, paying with cash that her father had gotten from their bank accounts after draining them all. As her father stood at the desk, negotiating price, Antoinette began to feel strange. She looked up at her father and the man he was talking to with confusion. For some reason, she could tell this man was no good and was going to do something awful to both of them if her father didn’t give in. Antoinette then cried out as more thoughts, more intense feelings filled her head. It was like a million sensations all at once and she dropped to the floor. Her father rushed to her side, tilting her head up and noticed her eyes. No longer the deep blue of the Irish sea but one lavender purple and one crystal blue. Being a mutant he understood the change and quickly rushed her from the hostile, running once again. 
While they were making plans to travel overseas, Antoinette and her father had a moment to sit together and dream of their time in Ireland, of being with her mom. She could see things so clearly. The orange stand, the Irish music filling the streets and her mothers laugh. She was so wrapped up in the memory that she barely noticed when her father gasped and stared down at Antoinette in wonder. She couldn’t see but her purple eye began to shine brighter with the new power she was using. After getting Antoinette to focus on the present, her father explained that she had casted an illusion, putt her father into a distant memory he hadn’t been thinking off. For the next couple of days her father had her cast different illusions over him but it could never go further than sight and sound.

Antoinette’s early years were pleasant and full of love. Her father is a mutant, a reporter on mutant preservation and the desire to live in peace one day. Whereas her mother is human, with an intense passion for art and creation. Her young mother was fully ready to raise her daughter with respect and love if she developed a mutation and looked forward to every new day. Growing up in a small village in Ireland, she developed the love for all things green and small, as well as a respect for the simple living. The McCarthy family began travelling when she was only five and Antoinette soon became bewitched by the wonders of the world. As they travelled, she would learn all the old stories of each country they travelled to and her mother would teach her the birds of each area. Antoinette used to fantasize that if she saw a bird in one country that she saw in another, that it was the same one and it was travelling with her. 
At the age of eleven, radicals, people opposing the mutant way of life, stormed the young girls house, looking for her father. Luckily Antoinette and her father were out of the house, shopping at a local market. Annie had a taste for their fresh oranges. However, her mother was at home. She saw the cars pull up and immediately called them. Her father answered, all smiles but with a single word his face dropped and he hung up the phone before breaking it and throwing it away. She knew something was wrong but her dad didn’t say anything as he took her hand and ushered her out of the market. They wouldn’t go home that afternoon and Antoinette would never see her mother again. Once more, they began to travel but it was much different then what Annie was used to. It was rushed and they never stayed in one place for more than a few hours. It was in this quick travel, after the loss of her mother that Antoinette discovered her powers. Her father of course was happy but it was a bittersweet moment but in that moment they finally moured their loss. 
They finally seemed to settle down after boarding a ship with fake names and traveled to the United States. They traveled here as well, wanting to get far away if possible but Antoinette felt a pull to go North and her father complied. They settled in the wilds of Maine, living off the grid as much as possible. Antoinette rarely went to town, leaving that to her father since he had no physical mutation. On occasion she would go to town though, having grown her hair out to cover her right eye. She enjoyed the art stores as well as the library and everyone was always so helpful to her when she was young. Her father continued to write and advocate for mutant rights while educating Annie at home. As Annie grew, her and her father developed a bit of a reputation. They were shut off from most of the world, going into town as needed for certain supplies but for the most part, they were hidden. It was one of these days, her father shopping and placing papers around at the local stores, while Annie was in the library when things got worse for them. Annie was leaving the library, hood up and hair covering her face with a handful of books in her hand when she heard a shout and turned her head. A group of teenagers had spotted her, the strange girl in the woods. They circled and began to taunt her. It wasn’t until one shoved her that she jumped into her enhanced intuition power. She rarely used that one, never being around people so it was a shock to the system when it happened. Her hood fell off and people gasped, seeing that her blue eye seemed to glow brilliantly. The girls in the group screamed while the boys yelled mutant. Antoinette started running, pushing past the group as she went to go find her father. Once again, they had to run. A difficult decision was then made. Antoinette and her father would have to split up, go their separate ways in order to save each other and prolong their lives. Her father still believed that all of this discord would be over within their lifetime. 
Now on her own, Antoniette traveled South while her father went West, hoping to get to a far location where he could send word to her once travel to Canada was secured. She ended up in New York, one of the highest populated places with a million sensations and feelings to sift through. It was a vast difference from the animal chatter and fresh air that she had grown accustomed to in the last five years but it seemed to be the right amount of overwhelming. It became almost numbing to Antoniette to have that many different feelings of ill intention and desire in her head and she grew comfortable with the fact. Not to mention all the culture and art within New York City limits that drew her in and kept her in the city. Needing to survive on her own now, she needed a way to make money. With the last of the money her father gave her, she managed to buy coloured contacts. Now with normal looking blue eyes, she acquired a job in a local arts studio and supports a simple lifestyle.

Antoinette first met Ayita when she was a wolf and had the very urge to get acquainted with this creature and befriend it. Since then, she has seen Ayita transform many times and has had a bit of a fascination with the fact. She will most often commit her forms to memory and paint them later when she has some time. Antoinette notices the more animalistic nature to Ayita but it hardly bothers her, it’s who she is. Antoinette considers Ayita a dear friend, even if they have hardly talked much. Sometimes words don’t need to be spoken.

Antoinette isn't necessarily afraid of Richard but she knows to keep her hands to herself around this man. Most often he will catch her staring at him and before she runs off she will politely smile before scurrying off. Antoinette likes to paint Richard, most often with his sister's latest animal form in the background or a half of them. Part of her wishes she had a sibling as close as they were but she has also formed many friendships in her short time her, friendships that would rival that of siblings.

Antoinette usually notices Mirembe, or Mira, with Guin most times. Their heads are generally together or they are discussing some piece of technology that Antoinette is sure she will never understand. If Antoinette is around watching Guin work, Mira is usually there as well. Antoinette is polite to her but they don't have much in common and Mira is really rather quite. Despite this quite nature though Antoinette has sensed a strain of friendship between the two girls. With her growing confidence and knowledge in the use of her enhanced intuition, Antoinette has noticed, at least on Guin's part, this desire to rekindle, to make something up to her.

Knight in shining armor perhaps? Antoinette isn't much for the relationships and dating thing but Lance has always been kind. He struggles with his own demons but on a whole he really is rather charming and polite to any around him. He keeps to himself, much like Antoinette does but she likes to talk to him of old books, the history of a thing and pry his mind for his true thoughts on a subject. On the rare occasion, Antoinette feels what his true intentions or desires are, things he hides from others but Antoinette really does try not to do this. Sometimes she will speak out of turn if she feels something and she worries she will overstep one day.

Most often, Antoinette's interaction with Sara will be a compliment on her clothing if she is wearing something that appeals to Antoinette's tastes. Other than that, Antoinette keeps to herself. Sara can be rather forward, assertive and brash. Whereas Antoinette likes to take the softer approach. Sara has been able to open Antoinette's eyes a bit more to the world that she is now apart of and that has helped Antoinette grow a little more well-rounded.

Antoinette always sees Dean and if she doesn't, she hears him first. He can always make her smile, whether he is trying to or not and at least once a day she is laughing because of him. He is by far the kindest person she has ever met and Antoinette values his opinion on most things, even if it as silly as what to have for breakfast or as serious as a training mistake.

She simply talks for the sake of getting her thoughts out and to open up that door for Bethany if she ever decides to walk through.

This has usually been their encounters but as they are both new to the mansion, Antoinette more so, she leans a bit on his and asks him quite a few questions. Antoinette isn't entirely sure if she is getting on his nerves or not but he always answers her and she continues to wave to him in the hallways.

They haven’t had much interaction but Antoinette holds herself close as of late. She can hardly blame Allison for her cold shoulder or lack thereof. A lot of change has happened in the last couple months. Antoinette feel's a bit closer to Allison now. Having her own mother back in House of M and now being alone again makes the memories all the more sweeter. Many of them regained someone only to loose them again.

Carolina is the steady light in the storm of Antoinette's head.

If Antoinette is around watching Guin work, Mira is usually there as well. Antoinette is polite to her but they don't have much in common and Mira is really rather quite. Despite this quite nature though Antoinette has sensed a strain of friendship between the two girls. With her growing confidence and knowledge in the use of her enhanced intuition, Antoinette has noticed, at least on Guin's part, this desire to rekindle, to make something up to her.

Sara has been able to open Antoinette's eyes a bit more to the world that she is now apart of and that has helped Antoinette grow a little more well-rounded.

This has usually been their encounters but as they are both new to the mansion, Antoinette more so, she leans a bit on his and asks him quite a few questions. Antoinette isn't entirely sure if she is getting on his nerves or not but he always answers her and she continues to wave to him in the hallways.

How can one not gravitate towards Marygold? Even with the struggle from a few months ago and the fight with Mary’s alter ego, Antoinette’s faith in her hasn’t wavered. Mary’s strength is a quality to admire.

Sparing has become a daily thing for them. Whether it is physical or mental sparing, the two of them can be found in the gym of the Danger room sometimes once or twice a day.

Antoinette missed seeing Mira around the mansion and is glad for her presence. Her quiet nature makes for a more grounded presence. Antoinette isn’t close to Mira to let her in completely, but she does like to bounce ideas off of her.

Even though they don’t hang out daily, Antoinette still considers Lance more of a friend than an acquaintance. They have gone through a lot together, including near death experiences, it's kind of hard to go back to “normal” after that.

Bethany still likes to tease and push boundaries, but Antoinette knows how to counter Bethany. Antoinette loves to debate and watch movies with Bethany.

By hanging out with Guin more, Antoinette has gotten to know Pietro a bit more as well. Although there are no deep conversations necessarily happening, they do share a few inside jokes with Guin and Antoinette stops to talk to Pietro in the hallways.

Antoinette’s friendship with Ed grew while they were in space. He is a good person to talk to and never ceases to lift up Antoinette’s spirits. She has even gifted him with a few bird paintings on their down time.

As missions often do, Antoinette got to know and work with Jaclyn a bit more. They work well together, seeming to bounce ideas off of each other effortlessly.

After their late night run in, it sort of became a habit. It also seemed to help Antoinette sleep better after they talked. Antoinette enjoys creating, talking, and laughing with Max. He has a genuine personality and a kind heart.

Avery has really come into their own over the last couple of weeks. Antoinette has enjoyed watching them figure themselves out. They’ve really bonded over art recently and Antoinette takes them on all her antiquing adventures.

Antoinette has gotten closer to Avery recently, but there is still an unbroken bond between Annie and Carolina. They are still roommates, still get into trouble, and still stay up until the wee hours of the morning.
