[Flashback to the summer before this semester] "Ah-nekooooo!!" Her mother Yoyo yells from the kitchen in her strong Japanese accent. "Hai, okāsan?!" Aneko yells from her room. "Come! You hear who teach your class this semester?! She replies over the sound of the kitchen sink. Aneko closes her computer and slowly sulks to the kitchen to figure out what her mom is talking about. "Last time I checked it was going to be Gun Head..." "No no! New one." She slides her phone to Aneko across the counter. As soon as she picks it up and reads the headline on the school website, her heart sinks almost instantly. "Pro-Hero, Endeavor, to Teach the Second Year Students at U.A." "...no way this is happening..." she thinks to herself as she puts the phone back down. [Fast forward to the beginning of the semester] “We’re taking over the training grounds today. I wanna see who is worth teaching. Everybody else can leave my class now.” Endeavor says with an arrogant tone as he peers down the bridge of his nose at the students while pacing back and forth. Aneko, who has always been nervous in the presence of Endeavor, begins to twiddle her thumbs. She looks around the classroom and then back to the front, only to find Endeavor looking directly at her. "Alright. Let's move to the training grounds." He says. One by one, the students start to head towards the door of the classroom. As they walk, Aneko's mind began to wander from one thing to the next. [Flashback to the summer before this semester] "What wrong? Why you have that face?" Yoyo asks Aneko. "Eh...Gun Head is just much nicer. That's all. I kinda wish I had him as a teacher." "Oohhhh, I see. You do fine this semester." "Endeavor isn't the nicest guy of the lot, okāsan...." "I know...but he good teacher. I know you will learn much from him." [Back to the present] The second year students proceed to walk down the halls, sometimes turning left, then right, then down a huge stairwell until they reach outdoors. The clouds begin to cover the sky the closer they get to the training grounds, then a small breeze turns into a different, much colder windchill. A couple of the students make comments about the sudden temperature change, but they're not understanding why. Aneko looks over at Riku, who hasn't said much, but irritation is written all over his face. Aneko hasn't had the best of luck with friends, seeing that she's still rather new and doesn't hang out with her peers outside of the classroom. As the temperature continues to slowly decline, she walks over to Riku and lightly touches his shoulder. "Hey, Riku?" She said through slightly gritted teeth. "...yeah?" He says. "Are you nervous about something?" "Not particularly. I don't exactly know what to expect from this training, but I'm sure I can handle it. My mind is just wandering, and I'm not too fond of Endeavor's demeanor, although it is normal for him to be this way." "I see...well, let's think of something a little more pleasant, okay? Because we're all beginning to freeze out here." She says through slight shivers. "Freeze? Why? It shouldn't be cold out--" Riku looks up and around and sees that the sun is completely hidden, and it's beginning to look gloomy outside. Clouds have filled the sky, and the air is crisp and still. By the looks of it, the temperature has drastically changed. He looks around at his classmates and everyone is huddled up together looking directly at him. Steam escapes their mouths with each breath, and Endeavor takes slow strides towards Riku. "Well, well...we have a weather manipulator on our hands." He says with an arrogant smirk. Riku swallows hard. "Yeah. I didn't realize I was doing it..." "You'll have to get better control of your emotions. Otherwise, how do you think you'll survive in combat? The moment fear sits into your heart, what will happen? A Tsunami? A Hurricane? Learn to control yourself." He turns to the students. "Everyone, let's keep moving. We're almost there." Aneko looks at Endeavor as he walks back to the front of the group. She shakes her head then focuses her attention back to Riku. "You're going to be fine. Just...prep yourself for whatever he throws at us, yeah?" She gently rubs his arm. "Yeah...I got you." He replies. "Good, I know you can handle it. Besides, it's really cold, and this outfit isn't exactly made for the winter." She smiles. "Come on...let's see what this training is going to be about. And trust me, everything going to be okay. Plus, your quirk is pretty cool." She turns and walks ahead to catch up with the class. Riku smiles back, and almost instantly, the sun reappears.
