A fair and honourable man who never asked his soldiers to do anything he would not himself do; the fact he managed to survive 17 years in enemy territory with no desertions or conspiracies against him is a testament to his leadership and charisma than even his hated enemy of Rome acknowledged. He is not cruel, despite accusations of such from the Romans. There are no stories of brutality which mar his legacy like some other great generals and his animosity towards Rome seems to only include the city itself and not its citizens. “I have come not to make war on the Italians, but to aid the Italians against Rome.” His is prideful and holds his own abilities in high regard; when asked by Scipio who he thought the greatest general Hannibal answered “Alexander the Great, Pyrrhus of Epirus and myself” and when further asked where he would place himself were he not defeated he answered "in that case I should have put myself before Alexander". This confidence makes him fearless, constantly able to challenge enemies larger and more powerful than himself. He is considered to be Rome’s greatest enemy; so much so that “Hannibal is at the gates” became an expression of fear and anxiety even after he was defeated. Under this skill Hannibal becomes more power when fighting against any opponent associated with the city of Rome or the Roman Empire, increasing his strength, constitution and agility greatly (this accounts for the ++ added to those parameters). Military Tactics A+ – Known as the “Father of strategy” for the manner in which his enemies adopted the strategies he used. Hannibal’s victories in Hispania and during the Second Punic War are legendary and he is regarded as one of the greatest military leaders of all time alongside such names as Alexander the Great and is lauded by future military leaders such as Bismark and Napoleon. Increases the power his Anti-Army Noble Phantasms by one level normally and by an additional level when “Father of Strategy” is active. Charisma B – Hannibal was a notable military leader in part due to the sheer loyalty he inspired amongst his troops, in spite of the fact that they came from very diverse backgrounds. He would lead by example when in the field, taking no more food than his troops and going hungry when they did, sleeping in the open air beside them and personally leading troops into the fiercest part of the battle. When his army reached the Alps, many of his troops stated a reluctance to cross, being loyal to Carthage but not wanting to leave their homeland behind; Hannibal allowed them to leave unopposed rather than force them onwards. Noble Phantasm(s):

Name: War Elephant March
Title : The Wrath of Carthage Marching to War
Rank: B++
Type: Anti-Army
Appearance: A single large, one tusked war elephant with a large and decorative howdah on its back leading a herd of 37 other war elephants.
Effects: Summons a herd of 38 massive war elephants, the number of elephants that were reported to be in Hannibal’s army prior to crossing the Alps. Despite most of them not surviving the crossing of the Alps the war-elephant corps are easily the most famous and most fearsome units in the army Hannibal led into Italy. As a Noble Phantasm the strength of these beasts is greatly exaggerated compared to when they were alive, practically being on the level of Servant’s themselves, with B rank strength, A rank constitution and C rank agility. Upon summoning this Noble Phantasm Hannibal will usually mount the lead elephant and begin a charge; this lead elephant is named Surus, the last surviving elephant during Hannibal’s Roman campaign which has only one tusk and carries a howdah for Hannibal to ride in. Surus can also be summoned alone if the entire herd is not needed. Servants caught in the path of the charge will be paralyzed with fear unless they possess a skill that negates mental interference or Bravery on a level equal to this Noble Phantasm. A revolutionary military mind whose influence was felt for centuries to come, this Noble Phantasm is the embodiment of that legacy. This Noble Phantasm allows Hannibal to instinctively deduce the strategy or tactics of any military minded Servant younger than himself, as all strategies developed after his were derived from his own as the “Father of Strategy”. As well as granting him knowledge this Noble Phantasm also increases the effectiveness of his Military Tactics by one level against opponents he has deduced the strategy of and also reduces the rank of their own Military Tactics or similar skills by one parameter.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral Changes: N/A
