Cities like London and New York issue gas masks to their residents, several species of dolphin and shark have gone extinct, large swathes of countryside are being seized by governments to make landfills, etc, etc. India is facing a massive immigrant crisis because of flooding in Bangladesh and the Maldives. However, do take note that green energy is becoming the norm as well, so relatively small and/or technologically advanced countries might have been able to stave off the worst.
