Elsa finished off her sandwich quickly, never one to waste time for food and motioned to the waitress to get a glass of water. She listened quietly to Alden, raising an eyebrow when he mentioned that most women couldn't handle his long hours. No shit about that one. When he answered her question, she felt slightly rebuffed, moving to down the rest of her drink before she looked outside again. Her words were slightly strained, "Nope. No one to mourn my death apart from my parents, and...perhaps...," she paused slightly in thought, "..No. I guess just them." She sighed her mouth twitching slightly as her thoughts turned sour. She turned to the waitress as she brought over her water and gave her a nod. She took a sip before she turned back to Alden, "So, how about you? Anybody I should send my regards to in the event of your peril? Parents? Siblings? Cat?" She thought of her own mother and father, who probably were out with the rest of the aristocracy at some opera or something. She loved them dearly, but they had never been as close as she wanted. She supposed her mother never forgave her for going back to the old country after she had done her best to get her out of it.
