“Today is the day!” An excited Alexa told her reflection while brushing her hair in the mirror. Her body worked thoughtlessly to make herself presentable. It was a food think thing that she had a school uniform, she'd probably wouldn't have been able to figure out an outfit for this special day. After wiping off her specs, she trotted over to her computer. She took a moment to look at her “Quirky” page. There had been notifications of friends from middle school wishing her luck and asking her to take pictures of the teacher she has. Also, there were comments on a picture of her with her acceptance letter and her family, of course. A big smile ran along her face. This day would be great. She could feel it deep down. As she turned away from her computer, Ian was standing in her doorway. He was looking at her differently, not like he was about to attack. It was as if his eyes were glowing. She was a little unnerved by it. “You alright? You’re acting weird?” Alexa said as she crossed over to her backpack. “I-I’m fine.. I just can’t believe you’re really going to UA. My friends don't believe it either.” “Yup! I'm gonna go and become the best hero ever.” She said as placed her balled fists on her hips and looked out the window “You do realize...that doesn't look cool when you do it.” “You do realize you can get out of my room.” Ian flashed a smile, then made his way downstairs. Again, Ian acting like a fan was really weird to her. She slipped her bag on her arm and a slight memory of the bag switch played in her head. ‘Oh god.. Its ok… He won't be there. Nothing embarrassing will happen.’ She slapped both hands on her cheeks to get herself back in the right mindset. No more incidents would happen because she made sure to paint a capybara, her favorite animal, on her bag. After finishing up her morning ritual, Alexa walked downstairs and saw her parents sitting at the kitchen table. They were laughing at something, but they quieted down when she showed up. “Here she comes. Miss UA. Here to save the day!” Her father sang to her in a crooner style. Alexa’s face changed to a red hue. “Stop it Hank. You'll embarrass her.” Her mother laughed as she knudged him.”Can't mess with the future pro.” “Thanks guys…” Alexa's voice had a shy tone as she rubbed the back of her head. It was nice that they believed in her so much. The fruit bowl between them caught her attention. Quickly, she grabbed a peach and took a bite. “You sure you don't want me to make you waffles?” Her dad eyed her. “ENo.. Tu muchh fewd wud *chew chew* way mi down.” Alexa answered with peach stuffed in her cheeks. “You know best.” Her mother mused, but made sure to grab some more fruit, unzipped her daughters bag, and tossed them in. “Your bag smells weird. Did you know that?” Alexa nervously laughed it off. She totally forgot to clean the inside of her bag once she got it back. ‘Damn you Herito.’ Once the car had pulled up in front of the school, the anxiety started to build again. What would happen once she was in there? Would she make a good first impression? Who was her teacher? Would her classmates like her? So many questions spun around her head. “Alexa, everything will be fine.” Her mother said as she gave her head a pat. Rouge filled her cheeks as she glanced over to her mom. “How did you know something was wrong?” “I know that “stuck in your own head” look.” Her mom smiled lovingly at her. “Things will be fine and if they aren't fine, you'll get through it. Your my daughter, you can get through anything.” Of course this woman was right. It's a good thing she had her in her corner. “Thanks mom. I'll get in there and give it my all.” “That's all I ask. Now get going.” Alexa rushed to give her mom a kiss on the cheek and hug. Next, she grabbed her bag and hurried out of the car. She made sure to wave at her mom before running up the steps. There were so many students around. The feeling of strength, diligence, and focus seemed to fill her being. ‘Man, I got this!’ Luckily, she was placed in class A and it was located in the same area as the written test she took. No real worry was in her being until she heard a male voice calling her name. She hadn't really gotten over the “manga” situation. Reluctantly, she looked back and saw Gale. ‘Why did he have to say “hey”. He sounds like the guy from manga. Elevator scene...Focus...It’s nice to see he got in. I'm so happy for him...Bathroom scene... Just hope he doesn't notice...Rooftop scene... WHY DID I READ THAT BOOK?!’ After they shared their pleasantries, gale proceeded to tell her about the training he had with Noir and unlocking a new ability. He also went into detail about the robbery and everything that transpired. As she listened, all the nervousness slipped away, but was replaced by worry. "Gale...I'm glad that you've accessed some potential of your quirk..." She said as she looked up to him. 'He seems so happy. I..I can't ruin that.' "Just be careful with your new teacher...Ok?"
