Alright guys, this'll be a short and sweet check because honestly fuck being all formal in ICs. I wanna be pals with the people I RP with, so casual language/formatting just feels more right. Preferences aside, I've been wanting to do an advanced intrigue game for ages now, but the thing is that I don't have time. And I still don't! But I have time for a Free one. Weird free, though, as I'll be expecting advanced levels of writing in short and concise posts. So proper English skills, colourful language, and *real* characters, as opposed to... shit ones. I was kinda skeptical of a free intrigue RP at first, but I thought about it more and now I think it's not such a bad idea. You're giving away less info about your plots per post, and you're interacting with more players. In my opinion, both of these could really benefit an intrigue RP. [hr] It'll be set in a post ancient world, similar in nature to how I imagine it must've been after the fall of any of the great empires of history. New Kingdoms rise and fall in the place of older, more advanced ones. People make it their business to study these walls that go up to 20 meters high, when they can hardly build walls three meters high themselves. Metallurgists ponder over why this strange, malformed shiny stuff is harder than their pretty and well formed shiny stuff. Nature is reclaiming the old world, but it's only a matter of time before the new people replicate this ancient technology. As players, you'll be working towards your individual goals with the appropriate amount of zealous vigor in a semi sandbox world. Kingdoms rise and fall in the span of months, and only the most ruthless survive. As players, you can choose whether you want to play in an established state, a failing one, or a fresh upstart, but that's some time away so let's not worry about that for now. As a GM, I'll let you do anything, so long as your character has the influence or ability. Can't say the other players will let you do things, though ;) [hr] Let me know your thoughts! RP is a collaborative medium, so I'm more than happy to take suggestions on board :)
