This was a major blow towards the arch-dragon, one that many would think allows Drakairós to gain the upper hand. They surely got him now. However, they soon realized that the boiling blood began to combust as soon as it mixed with the air above. Just before Rós could attempt to fire his ice breath however, the arch-dragon cheekily spat this blood at his' face, blinding him temporarily. "GAGH!" the head crackled angrily while wiggling wildly in pain. The other two heads looked down at the falling fire dragon ominously as they prepared to annihilate him on the spot. Their mouths were already charging up with electrical and fiery energies respectively. Yet with a sly grin, the fire dragon issued a deafening roar, causing the three heads to flail chaotically, as they can feel the storm beginning to grow hotter and hotter. The extensive blood-loss must've mixed with the chaotic storm, unleashing the fiery payload as the fires began to issue a maelstrom of swirling, blazing hellfire. The ice dragons still battling the other arch-dragon and their forces began to suffer at the hands of this intense heat, with some already beginning to melt and faint from intense heatstroke. Dra knew exactly what his opponent was trying to do. In a fit of internal rage, the weather god issued their own ear-splitting shriek as they unleashed their beams into the arch-dragon's left wing before pushing it violently to the ground. With their opponent's ability to fly compromised, Drakairós jettisoned into the storm to assess the dooming situation they're in. "It's no use..." Dra announced somberly, "We must retreat." Kai however, engulfed in his blazing element, didn't agree with this statement. "WHAT?!" he boomed defyingly, "WHY?! WHY MUST YOU LET THESE MORTAL LOT OVERPOWER US!" "It's about preserving our own forces you imbecile!" Rós replied, "We don't have another few minutes to cool the air around us, unless we want all of our ice dragons to melt away. One does not simply face the fire god alone, god or mortal alike! If we leave now, we can save at least a handful of our forces." "Indeed." the middle head affirmed sternly, "We must regroup for their sake. Ragnagedon may have won this battle, but certainly hasn't won the war. We will be back with a far greater force." With that, the weather god called to his surviving ice dragons as the winds began to shift against the fire beasts in a cold front. As they struggled against the powerful winds, it allowed Drakairós and his forces to ride with the swirling wind upwards into the eye of the storm. As soon as everyone made it up into the troposphere, the winds would last long enough to assure they won't be followed, and soon they began to die down and reveal the carnage left behind. The hydra was able to convert 30% of Ragnagedon's fire dragons. While their numbers had grown significantly, they still suffered heavy casualties on their side. They would continue to fly back to their Palace of Zepharios, providing a hidden sanctuary for their dragons to take residence in. It's time that they continue to speak with Sveiand and Naswaru to strengthen their forces against this rising threat. While it was continuing to recede back in on itself, the structure itself already beginning to crumble in on itself, there was simply nothing for him to find or see here. The sheer fact that it wasn't affected by the light and how it attracted Iarus to turn into the God of Fear was mortifyingly concerning to the realm's future. He already has many questions coursing through his mind. Where did this spire come from? Who made it? Are there more of them just waiting to pop up? These are just some of what he's trying to wonder, but as of now they remain unanswered. Once the portal opened, Hyperion and his forces marched straight in nearly without a second thought back to Terratora, with only vengeance in mind. If only he had stayed a little longer, would he have finally seen a flicker of light within the darkness... only for it to be swallowed up by darkness herself. |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Once Hyperion and his forces set foot back in their home island, the God of Light dismissed his troops as he heads back to plop on his radiant throne. But before he could have a chance, one of his advisors quickly approached him. "My lord," he said calmly, "We have a visitor from the Library just beyond our sacred walls on the west side. Apollos is dealing with him as we speak. It appeared to have given us an invitation of some sort." Hyperion would slowly stand up, towering over his advisor, as he walks down to the palace stairs. "I shall see this myself." he booms as he creates another portal to close the gap between him and his fellow god. When he emerged, he sees the Sun God indeed reading a message that the black, heretical-looking, creature brought to him to read. Hyperion made no attempts to shoo the creature off, although his presence may have definitely caused to it become nervous perhaps. "Greetings Apollos." he calls out gregariously towards his fellow friend, "How goes thee? I've been told that this creature brought us a letter. What does it read?"
[sub][@Rune_Alchemist] - Messenger | [@Stern Algorithm] - Gammaton (In Passing via Letter)[/sub]
A loud screech would halt Nerplaguis' advance towards the portal, as it turned his head towards the source of the noise. Looking up, he can see a black faceless creature fly down towards him like a stalking vulture. Although it was not here to eat the god's sickly infected flesh, rather it would be to give him a letter. "Well! What have we here?" the plague god cooed curiously as he took the letter with his gloved hand. He began to read the message carefully. Why it was from his librarian pal Iva! It's been a hot minute since he stopped by his place. He tells him of the insect God of Order, Gammaton, wanting to make an assembly of the gods. Interesting! However Iva didn't seem to very much like it, although he still wondered if he, amongst the rest of the other gods, will join this little convention. Nerplaguis gave a few hard seconds to consider it, before nodding in agreement underneath some quiet snickering. "Ooooh, hoo, hoo!" he chuckles, "This could certainly be interesting, if not entertaining! I wonder how all the others have been." With that, he quickly pulls out a feathered pen and signs his initials on the letter along with a checkmark. "Please tell brother Iva that I shall be attending this little assembly." he replies as he gives back the letter to the faceless messenger, "As well as a few experiments I may have him help me with." With that, he waves it good-bye and retreats into the portal with his plague sentinel. It was time to make his next experiment come to life!
