Sometimes she'll wear her hair pulled back in a ponytail, sometimes she won't, it just depends. Not to mention she is not afraid to get dirty and will sometimes be walking

	However, there are occasions when she does dress nicer. Usually those involve talking to academics or such, and she'll wear a nice outfit of sorts, nice to her anyway. Generally a nice looking shirt or maybe even a blouse if she is feeling up to it and a pair of slacks. However she will not ditch her hiking boots and will generally where those and have her hair pulled back.

	Crystal tends to be a bit on the adventurous side. She's always looking for that next big adventure, or that next thing that will help her in her goals. Never wanting to be stuck in one place, she loves going around and seeing other places. Though because she never wants to stay put in one place for very long, she is also a bit impatient, choosing to hurry things along when she can, but manages to take time and slow things down with her work. She will stick up for what she believes in, and is determined to help out in whatever ways she can, showing that she does have a bit of a brave side that shows up when out on a job if need be.

	Though she can come off as a bit aggressive, especially when it comes to the work that she does. No one really can stop her from doing what she loves to do, and she will knock just about anyone down who even tries to get in her way. This, combined with the fact that she does have a bit of a temper and can get angry rather easily and you've got a bit of a dangerous combo. 	Crystal was starting to get bored a little with the sort of work she was doing. After yet another week spent in Egypt translating hieroglyphics and other languages, she was ready to find something else to do. Problem was, she wasn't doing the best with the rest of her life at the time, so she knew it would be almost impossible for her to find something new, especially since she was lacking in money and couldn't just drop everything to change what she was doing. That was when she was approached about a secret government project, and she realized that this was her chance to try something new, and went for it, deciding to join the SGC, even though she didn't really have any idea what it was she was signing up for.

[b][color=4BDD82]History:[/color][/b]
	Crystal was born the youngest child, and only daughter, of Elliot and Rose Hanson. Her older brothers were Thomas and Laurence, and her family was a bit well off. Her father was the CEO of a company, one that her oldest brother Thomas was set to inherit when he retired. She loved her brothers growing up, and generally stuck around close by to them, preferring being outside and getting dirty with them.

	However, that was not exactly how her mother wanted Crystal to act and behave, as the older woman was very old fashioned in her ways, and believed that girls shouldn't be racing around outdoors, but learning how to take care of a home. So most days, she was locked inside of the house, having to deal with everything her mother wanted her to. Sure, they had maids and such, but Rose wanted her daughter to learn about cleaning and cooking all on her own, so she on occasion had her help the maids out, despite not needing to.

	This treatment developed into a severe hatred of her mother that would go on to last for the rest of her life. Crystal excelled in school, and it was there that she discovered her love for history and archaeology. It served as a sort of escape from what her mother wanted her to do, and she was willing to do whatever it took to pursue her love into a potential career. She managed to get several scholarships to any university she wanted when she graduated, but her mother was not going to let her go to school anymore without a fight.

	Her father managed to calm the situation, and put money into an account for her so that she could pursue her degree in Archaeology and Linguistics, despite her mother's protests. Then, her father became ill, and during this time her mother cut Crystal off from the entire rest of the family, and she found out about her father's death in the newspapers about 3 years after he got sick.

	With that, her mother went to take the money he had left for her away, but found that it had been put in a separate account under Crystal's name, an account that her mother did not have access to, and could not take away from her. She was saddened by her father's death, and with her older brother's following along with Rose, she was completely cut off from her family, or any sort of financial help after she graduated from the university. That didn't stop her though, and with the little bit of money she still had left over, she went on her first archaeological dig in Egypt, and started making her own way in the world. 

	She worked hard for what she had, but when she was approached to join the SGC, even though she didn't know what she was going to be doing, she didn't hesitate to join. Maybe one day she'd be able to prove to her mother that what she was doing was the right thing, even if the old woman would never truly be able to see it.

	She is the youngest of three children, her brother Thomas is 6 years older than her, while her brother Laurence is 3 years older. Crystal was fairly close to her older brothers, and she loved them a lot. She also was very close with her father, who only ever wanted the very best for her and her relationship with her mother has been strained for as long as she could remember. When her father died, Crys felt like she had lost everything. Cut off entirely from the rest of her family after only 3 years at the university, she hasn't talked to any of them since she was 21 years old, though she does hope to one day maybe reconnect with her older brothers.
