Name: Catarina La'Spada Picture: Species: Human Birthdate: 2/29 Height: 6'4 Weight: 130 lbs Eye color: Green Hair color: Black Blurb: A young female knight from the lands of Sieglinde, a kingdom notable for being ruled by a high queen and having a formidable order of female knights known as the Knights of Thorns. Catarina is the eldest daughter of the Queen's Shield, the strongest knight who is honor-bound to protect royalty. Despite this, Catarina has never really been allowed to do battle or even adventure out from her lands without an escort, and generally kept at home or attending courtly duties such as banquets or tournaments. While a skilled and trained fighter, Catarina longs for the chance to actually make use of her skills, not wanting to merely be an ornamental thing to be married off and maintaining an alliances for the sake of the kingdom. When magic started to surge throughout the world, Catarina jumped at the chance to investigate on behalf of the kingdom before her own parents realized what was going on. Though she's never been in war, Catarina has fought in tournaments before against highly skilled knights and warriors from all around, giving her quite a bit of experience in combat. She prefers two-handed swords in combat, attacking with a startling amount of speed for longswords. She's also a decent archer and rider, and in fact quite good at horse archery. She's also educated in many different languages and well read, though she prefers fantasy and fiction over old history. She also has a secret hobby of making toys and dolls. While not exactly shameful for a noble woman, Catarina desperately keeps this a secret as she tries to be a knight first, and a girl a distant second. Additionally Catarina is actually being courted by quite a few young men, but none have really caught her attention. They promise everything from a peaceful life, unimaginable wealth, and even the chance of epic adventures, but Catarina could see through their lies easily. Though she portrays herself as a boisterous and battle-hungry knight, she actually is quite perspective about the politics of court and clandestine dealings in the shadow. Thus she dislikes people who have ulterior motives, regardless of how well-intentioned they are, and prefers those who are more honest and straightforward. Also has a low tolerance for children. While innocent and naive, in her experience those same qualities can make children cruel and foolish. She's quick to discipline them and shows little to no sympathy for them.
