[indent][i]Like most Air Benders, Hikaru has the typical arrow tattoos that cover her body, going up her legs and arms and onto her head. She has a few scars here and there from her running from the Fire Nation, a long one across her left leg, and another one across her back. She uses makeup and other things to potentially cover up her tattoos, allowing her to blend in more easily with people of the other nations.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]To Hikaru, clothing doesn't mean too much. She makes sure that she is clean and able to be seen in public if need be, but that is about it. She still owns her robes from the Air Nomads, however she dares not to wear them again, as their are those who would kill her if she wore them. Generally, she spends much of her time in the clothing of the Earth Kingdom, having gone there after the attacks on the Air Temples, and just goes with whatever she can possibly get there.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]Hikaru is a generally quiet and kind person, like several of the Air Nomads were. She loves to help out others whenever she can, but sometimes that becomes near impossible, as she has grown to have some trust issues. After the attack, she became more nervous of towards others, and her surroundings, but given time she'll warm up to others. She is patient, willing to wait things out if needed. Her little bit of nervousness towards the rest of the world will sometimes cause problems if things continue that way, but nothing more than that.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]She will tend to fidget slightly, her hands twitching slightly whenever she is nervous. Hikaru will generally push her hair out of the way in order to be able to see, as most Air Nomads, the females, shaved their foreheads, so she is unused to the hair that is constantly getting in the way of her eyes.[/i][/indent][/indent]

She misses playing games with others, Airball in particular, but she can't do that anymore. She enjoys wandering around the Earth Kingdom, as it is very different from the place that she grew up, and loves to see all the sights there.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]When she was a young girl, she was taken to the Western Air Temple over in the Fire Nation in order to train and learn how to become a master at air bending. She doesn't really remember her family all too much, but the monks at the temple and the others became her new family in a way. Hikaru was 15 years old when the Fire Nation attacked them. As the Western Air Temple was within the Fire Nation itself, it was one of the first to fall. She barely managed to make it out of the temple, along with a few others, before all was lost there. 

After a few weeks, word of some Air Nomads in the Earth Kingdom had found a safe haven, so she and those who were with her left to go find them. After a little while, she got separated from the others who were with her, but she was lucky that she did. When she finally reached the place that they had been heading, she heard what had happened to them, and realized just how lucky she was to have not gone there when she had. An Earth Kingdom family saw her, and ushered her in with them. They gave her clothes and makeup, so that she would be able to blend in, and sent her away from there, as it wasn't safe for her to stay there. So she took up the nomadic nature of the Air Benders, and started wandering from place to place. Her hair growing, and eventually she blended in and looked like everyone else.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]She has problems every now and then. She looks like anyone who is from the Earth Kingdom, however she tends to stay indoors or such if it is raining outside, as that would reveal her tattoos, and it was not something that she could risk. Hikaru felt utterly alone in the world, at just 16 years old she had no one. Every now and then, she'd come across a family willing to let her stay with them for a few nights, but that was about it. For the most part, she had to result to thievery to survive, and it was not something she was proud of. To her, there wasn't much else she could do. She had to hide who she was, and that meant no air bending, at least not in public. It is a dangerous world for her, but she is doing the best that she can.[/i][/indent][/indent]

[indent][i]Hikaru hopes that one day she can see a world where the Air Nomads are around again. A world that is at peace with each other once again. She doesn't know what she can do in the future, but all she knows is that just about anything would be better than feeling like she was utterly alone in the world.[/i][/indent][/indent]
