"To new beginnings." He agreed, nodding his head. Though he was trying to keep up a face of courage, he couldn't stop his damn hands from shaking. Holding the paper in his hands, he looked down on it, trying to force himself to read the words in front of him. He drew a deep breath, and read on. He flinched a bit as he started to read. Good and bad things were said of him, and though they weren't as bad as they could possibly be, he found it hard to be happy with what was in front of him. These didn't hold back much, and maybe, he thought, that was a good thing. What it did tell him, more than anything, was that he had to keep trying to be better, to think more before acting, and consider the effects his actions could have on the lives of everybody. He'd never considered himself with the sense of entitlement this painted him as having, but if it was there, he trusted that the Emendators said what they were saying because they identified a problem that needed correcting. As he finished, he folded them carefully back up into the envelope, and back into his pocket. He looked back at Alexandra as he finished reading, and waited for her to finish, before asking, "How bad's the damage?"
