[@Eric Horst]  A lovely character and I will be so glad to have him.  My only reservation is how he managed to stay out of the war effort.  For sure there were many men who stayed away from the front.  What reason had he for not going to war?  Your character is for the most part accepted beyond this tiny detail so I will start working on your header.

EDIT:  I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the use of 20s slang in your story.
