[@Eviledd1984]  I am concerned about how he is going to balance his FBI work with these cases.  I would prefer he be a bit older and retired from the FBI.  However, if you want him to actively be a part of it still we could say he has seen Miss Hobbs' work by attending one of her seance parties.  Feeling she needs keeping an eye on, especially with this detective agency, he would go 'undercover' as sanctioned by the FBI.
