[b][i]Hi, friends, and welcome to another installment of 'things I'm probably going to regret'![/i][/b]

It's been a hot minute since I've been around on the guild, but I'm back to bring you all the latest brainchild of many - yet another free-form-ish space sandbox in the style of the great [@keyguyperson] and [@duck55223]. Already I can hear you crying out from the pile of dead and buried roleplays, 'But Aria, how is this one different??!' and let me tell you, there's quite a lot:

We're basing it in discord. 

There will be none of the silliness of clusterfluffling into first in-person contact within five posts. There is a regional system for players to interact within - no player will have the full story. Players are to keep their sheets secret, so that no one can metagame (which I know it [i]totally never happens at all[/i] but it's better to be safe than sorry.) There is a strong focus on personal development. Players will become personally invested in their empires and paranoid about the other life-forms they come across - are they friend or foe? 

The galaxy is alive, and not just with player characters.

Despite the discord setting, it's going to be rather slow-paced - discord was simply more convenient for the multiple discrete regions and so forth. Posts every few days to couple weeks is probably going to be the pace we settle into.

In terms of player experience, we hope that the stat system isn't going to impede on creativity too dreadfully much. It is still basically free-form, the GMs simply ask you to assign numbers to help them keep track of things.
