Alright, I believe my sheet is done. Awkward being first on the firing line, but what the hey! In fact, the calligraphy is so elaborate many may find it hard to read.***)
Magic Abilities
To say that I am “classicaly trained” would be an understatement. The Isaacs family afforded me some of the finest tutors in Faygold, and I was rigorously and dutifully drilled in the ancient methods of Lightning magic. A bolt produced from my slender fingertips should arc with most magnificence towards the horizon and flash with the dazzling brilliance of a thousand suns. As my instructors know, I am a Caster through and through, with boundless magical potential to be summoned from within. Regretfully, my magical repertoire is limited to a handful of spells, but I assure I have dedicated myself to knowing those spells I do possess. After all, should one not strive to know their inherent magical talents the way one knows a good lover? For Lightning is my regal and beautiful mistress, and one I intend to dedicate myself to for life.

Skills and Work Experience
I am afraid to admit that I possess little in the way of manual labour skills. My upbringing was fit for a prince, and like a prince, I did not once dirty my hands scrubbing the floors and washing bed sheets. However, you will be delighted to know that I possess far more useful areas of expertise that I shall deign to offer freely in the name of the guild. For instance, I have ben trained in the delicate and noble art of fine writing. While at first you might scoff at such a seemingly irrelevant talent, the more refined among you will understand that proper writing is an art form in of itself. To simply write is something any unwashed vagrant can potentially achieve, but to make it seem as though the voice of the gods is conveyed through the swish of your pen is something that takes a true artisan to achieve. Should the guild wish to advertise its services in a way that will electrify the soul, they need only turn to me. If aesthetic concerns are beneath the purview of your fair guild’s leadership, then I am pleased to announce a secondary talent; I am a veritable virtuoso with the violin. Again, a philistine may scoff at this as an unnecessary hobby for a prospective mage, but I would vehemently argue for its merits. A musical masterpiece played at just the right moment may diffuse a tense situation or move an otherwise unflappable individual to tears. Please understand that the repertoire of a true renaissance man is equally applicable to a life of magecraft as that of a soldier.

Combat Experience
Once again, I must shamefully confess I have no direct experience in this regard. However, I would propose that I have every bit the necessary training to make up for my lack of frontline forays. Perhaps it is true that one does not risk their own precious neck while sparring with one of the greatest swordmasters in Faygold, but the skills acquired doing so are no less relevant for it, surely? It may well be true that you cannot be certain how well you will sling a spell under pressure, but if you have slung that spell one hundred times and then a few more, how can you be accused of being anything less than prepared? While I understand you have admitted experience is not necessary to apply, I must beg you understand that someone who has seen a job or two in their time is not always that which is the better trained than a neophyte.

Reasons for Applying
My story is one that begins on the great and wealthy estate of the Isaacs family. We have a storied past of military service and dignified leadership dating back centuries. My great grandfather was something of a magiciain himself. Old Glenroy Isaacs could lay his opponents low with bolt after bolt of heavenly lightning descending from the heavens. It was stories of his magnificence that fuelled my personal training as a warrior, a mage, and a lord of the Isaacs family. Truly, had it not been for the annals of our familie’s dashing and daring deeds I do not believe I would be half the man I am today. Unfortunately, I learned that my good father, Alfred Isaacs, had entirely different plans for my existence. He would have it that I stay on the estate and remain an impotent administrator, tending to the petty claims of the tenant farmers and getting fat off the rents we collected. This was not a life for one with a warrior’s spirit such as I. Try as I might to change his mind, he insisted that my place was on the Isaac lands, and that the life of a guild magician was a dirty and undignified one. That is what inspired my escape from the familial bonds that shackled me; I made my exit hidden within a tenant’s cart, and spirited myself away to Seafalls City. There, I heard that this fair guild was seeking applicants, and that is where my fair story ends.

Why Should We Pick You?
If you should ever look into my past contacts, you may hear many a whisper of vicious slander. They may say “He has his head in the clouds” or “He isn’t as good as he claims to be” or “He’s an exaggerating, pompous braggart”. All of these statements are patently false. I AM every bit the prodigy I claim to be, and I am a prize to any guild I should apply to. Do not be so foolish as to turn your nose up due to common sentiment; if you squander the opportunity to entrench such talent in your guild, you will have naught to do but look on in envy as I soar to the heavens, taking another fair guild’s name with me as I go. If you need proof of my claims, you need only seek out the tutors my family arranged for me. Merely ask them if I made a good showing, and you’ll find them ill at ease to say nothing less than “Yes”.
