The Grimms are a known commodity in the south because of a legendary family feud, in more recent times however they are quite known for the documentary filmmaker amongst their number; Gordon Grimm. It is at this point in their storied history that Roxanne enters the fray. Born Gordon’s only child, she wanted for nothing. With the money her father was making and a devoted mother, Roxy’s childhood was not one fraught with tension and hard times, in fact she had a very comfortable and safe upbringing. That said, the young cowgirl was enamoured with her daddy’s lifestyle and often longed for adventures of her own.

Like most Grimm’s, Roxy spent much of her childhood working the ranch the family owned. Her role was to work the horses, make sure they were looked after and generally keeping the place clean. 5am wake ups and fifteen hour days from the age of eight instilled in her the drive to succeed with hard work and dedication. It was while working with the horses that she discovered her passion for singing, her voice often calming the wild stallions. It was this love for song that lead teenage Roxy into her work hard play hard adolescent years.

Maybe it was her southern sensibilities or grounded upbringing; whatever the case may be Foxy Roxy developed a bit of a wild streak. That said her goal was never to harm but only to have fun and live for the moment. Always up for anything, she prides herself on the fact that she’d try anything once. When her father announced that he would be filming a long term doc in LA, for the first time in her life he offered Roxy the chance to accompany him. The southern belle jumped at the chance to rub shoulders with Beverly Hills elite. Upon arrival in the City of Angels, Roxy was enrolled at BHHS with a later start date than most due to transferring credits or something silly like that. It didn’t matter, the delay was an opportunity for the songstress to get her bearings. She got a part time job to fill up her time and began sneaking out to explore her new home and find a few places that would allow her to perform.
