Additionally:

-Denise grew up in a well kept family, her mother and father both held seats on the council. Because of this their seats were handed down to her and her husband. She has the favor of many members of the Phoenix council. 

-Denise has a certain disdain for her "step children". It is hard to seem like they have a happy little family, when she has half breeds around calling her daughters family. Getting them to move out and act like hellions.

-She of course has many talents too, they are mostly to do with politics and fashion. In her spare time she dabbles in art as well.
