While your character is well written and interesting. Both [@Aerandir] and I agree, no one who isn't human would make it up that far into the ranks of the castle let alone, work under neath the king. The people of the kingdom, are highly prejudice and even racist against other humans, i.e. the veiled ones. Especially the King himself. He's really messed up and would never allow such a thing. 

For you question earlier about races being on other continents, the races are dwindling in numbers. There are not undiscovered continents with them in larger numbers. There will be a plot point to come in that explains why so few exist of the races now. Maybe in the future we can explore small hidden villages of just the specific races. But not whole continents.
