Name: Kiera Forecall 'Champion of Borealis' Appearance: Class: Templar Devotion: Borealis, the god of light and truth. What other god could be needed more right now? Spell List: Tier 1: 3 Tier 1 'Those that wield his light blaze eternal...': One of the most common spells of the faithful, it is more of an enchantment cast upon a torch (note it cannot light a torch). While uttering the annals of "The Praise of Light II" and focusing on the light it becomes nigh impossible to put out the flaming torch. Only if fully submerged in water for several moments, if the prayer is uninterrupted or powerful dark magic is present. Tier 1 '...For those that walk with him, may they become Unshakeable...': While there is still a tongue to speak and light to bear then Borealis can still give hope to those who look for it. The faithful, even those of other gods, can be inspired by Kiera when she raises her torch and channels her affinity for the divine, resisting the darkness and damnation to come. Of course, a cantrip like this is often like a candle amongst wolves in the night; only a comfort and can certainly be shattered. Though Templars are trained to chant in combat it can easily be broken in the tumult of melee, or should something suitably shocking or sudden happen. It would be especially stressful should any of the party, or Borealis forbid, Kiera, not take heart from the holy texts. Tier 1 '...and for those that speak against him, Step into his light and be judged.': With the utterance of this psalm and the pointing of the blade the target becomes wreathed in firelight, making it incredibly difficult for them to hide. Kiera will become fixated upon their slaying and strike with a whole new fury and zeal. Of course, should her strength be lacking and they escape or they best her she will become extremely distraught and stressed! for such a skill draws the attention of Borealis Himself and failure would be failing her almighty Backstory: Kiera was raised to join the army, it was tradition for the noble family 'Forecall' to send their eldest into scouting divisions. This was to change after she proved herself in a young tourney held in nicer times, and she would be called to serve amongst the paladins of Borealis. Her father, although furious tradition be breached, let her go much to her delight. She felt at home there, and became one of the most aspiring acolytes. However, as time passed she became more and more displeased with the order she found herself in. Her devotion to Borealis was beyond doubt, of course, but she felt many aspects of the order failed to represent him as well as most would think. She expressed doubts to the higher ups about what happened behind closed doors, what 'truths' were pulled from poor victims in the darkest corners of the abbeys. These doubts soon began to make her the target of hostility, especially since she had began to gain a zealous and like-minded following who rallied against torture and the like regarding it as unholy. Before things got too heated, Kiera left the capital province. She saw a call to arms to banish terrible forces of evil far away from the turbulence at home, and she views this as a way to free herself of her order and still do what she believes in. One of her key motives is to reform a new branch of her church, one that is based on light more than torture.
