Her armor is forged and folded along side magical infusion, allowing it to be thinned more than standard plate mail while retaining its sturdiness. Beneath the armor, the woman works her body hard and has the muscle mass to prove it. He hair is kept tied back in a messy bun if she bothers with it at all. The woman smiles more than frowns and her solid white eyes glitter with amusement at most anything. Personality: If anyone embodies the spirit of Luvalon, it is Beatrix. She laughs and enjoys life to its fullest while maintaining the hard working attitude Luvalions are known for. She adamantly upholds the Azorius Papers and their principles, viewing those around him as equals and treating them accordingly. Serious matters often lack the spark of joy that Beatrix brings and she has no problem reminding people that life needs to be enjoyed. Because of the fevor of her devotion to those principles, Beatrix is a gifted Hieromancer. Coupled with the blood of Azorius Briatia and a keen instinct, Beatrix stands on the frontlines with her soldiers and strives to end conflict without blows. Her soldiers respect her for her dedication and empathy, both to the cause and to them. Beatrix’s motto is “If they can do it, I can do it.” The woman shouts orders and digs latrines with equal vigor. She believes that her job increases her responsibility, not just changes them. History: Beatrix lived as many newborn Luvalonians do. In her childhood, she ran among the capital’s streets with friends and family, playing more often than attending her lessons. At the age of ten, she was admitted into the Order of Hieromancy. She spent three years studying the basic principles of Hieromancy and then was sent off to a village in the kingdom to experience them herself. Every year she would move either to a new village or onto a fishing boat to learn about the country from other people’s points of views and gain a more practical appreciation for the four principles. At eighteen, Beatrix and her fellow students were granted the title of seventh circle hieromancers and given leave from the Order. Most choose to stay, entering the military or staying on with the Order itself but Beatrix requested Isperia. Only elder hieromancers and those in consideration for High Hieromancer partook in the ancient tradition, requiring its practitioner to wander the Kingdom with naught but the clothes on their back. The tradition cultivated a deep contemplation of the four principles as the individual trusted in nature and their fellow kinsmen to help them and offered their assistance in return. It would be the first time a Briatia walked the path of Isperia since Azorius’s daughter. Most who return from Isperia come back calm and tranquil, their souls enlightened and at peace with what they discovered. Beatrix returned a grin on her face but she didn’t embody the inner tranquility her predecessor's discovered. Rather, her soul found a deeper meaning in life and that filled her with joy, with excitement. Her return was boisterous and lively. Despite her elders’ original misgivings, it was clear her time during Isperia had brought her closer to the principles but how would forget remain a mystery. Isperia was a highly personal journey and what one found meaning in varied from individual to individual. Beatrix joined the Luvalonian military shortly thereafter, requesting a position on the pilgrimage route to Vel’Dia’s temple. Bandits recently discovered nooks and crannies along the paths and took advantage of those of the sacred route. Beatrix was dispatched as part of one of three platoons. The aasimar spent the next twenty years patrolling the route, working her way up to commander. The promotion moved her away from the pilgrimage route to patrol the border, specifically a heavily forested section on the northern edge. It was another twenty years she spent protecting the border and she earned a reputation for turning ruffians into citizens. Official policy required foreign offenders be bound with hieromancy from crossing their borders but Beatrix often ignored the policy, offering food, shelter, and purpose to those amenable to such an offer and more often than not, found them in her own platoon several years later. Later, she would personally train several of her current first circle hieromancers. When her reasoning for the alternative method of handling foreign criminals could no longer be denied, the current ruler of Lovelon raised Beatrix to the third seat of the High Hieromancers and she became the equivalent of a general in other Kingdoms. From them on, she focused her time in the Order and taught the new policies she enacted. Official policy changed within the next decade, exiles occurring less and less as people were welcomed and converted to their new home. When news of the breach reached Luvalon and the Council of Seven called on the armies of the Kingdoms, the Queen sent two of the High Hieromancers to them. Beatrix and the second seat High Hieromancer stayed behind, preparing to escape back across the ocean if they failed. Beatrix felt no remorse in the possibility of abandoning the other Kingdoms and even if she had, the Azorius Papers demanded she put her people first. But when the second call came, one to search for a lost God, Beatrix took to her horse before the Queen or the first seat could protest and she was off, forty hand picked heavy infantry and her ten most loyal Hieromancers close on her heels.
