Penelope stiffened as Crow quickly wrapped her up in an embrace. She was tempted to return it, suddenly wishing it would be so easy to ignore what had occurred. As he pulled back, the knight blinked as he asked her what was wrong. It sparked a bit of hurt and anger in the knight. Does he really think I wouldn't be upset over that raid? she wondered, narrowing her eyes at him. At his guess, she took a step back from him and gave a snort. "If she blamed me for that raid, I'd lose everything on the spot and I certainly wouldn't be able to sneak out here." She shook her head and shot a glare at Crow. "All of our night guards dead and half of our supplies gone. Gods Crow, what else would be wrong!" Her voice was sharp with anger. She glared at him for a second longer before dropping her gaze away from him as her anger died down into hurt. Her voice grew strained with emotion as she went on, "I never ask for details about your raids because I trusted you would never do anything to put my comrades and I at a disadvantage in this war.." she frowned and lifted her gaze to look back over at him. "I know you had to steal supplies but surely not that much and to kill all of the guards too.. That had to be planned. That's why you wanted me to trade shifts so badly isn't it?"
