In one bad day for the human race, they came. They emerged from the ocean depths, descended from the skies above, broke out of Arctic ice, escaped from secret laboratories, clawed out of the very Earth itself. They had many names: kaiju, behemoths, giant monsters, colossi, mecha, titans, and so on and so forth. All they had in common was their tremendous size and strength, with some exhibiting even stranger powers. In a few hours, entire cities were leveled and armies routed, with nothing seeming to even slow down their rampages.

Governments convened in emergency meetings as civilians held their families close and gathered in places of worship. Ordinary people caught in the paths of kaiju struggled to survive; while soldiers, sailors, and airmen fought heroic but doomed battles. Scientists and journalists tried to learn the secrets of the creatures. It was clear that this was a battle to the death. Only humans or giant monsters would remain when the smoke cleared- it was unlikely to be both.

Welcome to Earth vs. The Giant Monsters. As you may have gathered, you will be playing both sides of a sudden and apocalyptic invasion of giant monsters, humans and kaiju. Not only will you be a city-destroying titan along the lines of Godzilla or King Kong, but also a human being somehow connected to it. Maybe you're a general trying to a fight it, a scientist studying it, a reporter covering it, an unscrupulous person trying to profit from the destruction, or simply an ordinary person trying not to be squashed. 

This is an RP that encourages player direction and collaboration. Create and explore your own storylines and goals. Destroy cities, meet with one another to fight or team up. On the human end of things, let us know what it's like to live in this new and terrifying world. Go in all sorts of directions, be creative, go nuts. 

Accordingly, I'm going to be pretty easygoing as a GM. I only ask that you respect one another and post often to keep this alive. 

Please post characters in the OOC for approval, only put them on the CS page once given the green light by the GM.
