So being a fairy with a monster companion would be a little tricky, but if you write a good enough reason, I could give it a pass. Fairies and other Monsters do have access to Pneuma, but in a different way. The Pneuma reacts to them, which is why Monsters are targeted for parts to Magecha. A monster can use their own Pneuma but it will need to be refilled by sleeping or eating. This is different for what are known as Human Monsters (Elves, Dwarves, Valkyr, etc.)

Human Monsters are a race that is only 200 years old and thought to have been wiped out. They are Human in appearance, with very minute changes (ears, height, skin color) that have access to Pneuma like a human, but it reacts more powerfully like a monster.
