Pilot Character Sheet Name: Isaac LaBelle Appearance:

Isaac has a lean and athletic build typical of a pilot that would have to fit in a smaller, cramped NC's cockpit, and stands around 5'10" in height. His posture is usually unassuming, with slumped shoulders and reserved movements unless he's actively standing at attention. Age: 22 Personality: In Isaac's opinion, the easiest persona to uphold is closest to one's true self. So, he presents himself candidly; a timid but easygoing boy who happens to be a very good shot. He may fluff up or veil an aspect of his personality here or there - a little less backbone, a little more agreeability - but who doesn't? He's friendly enough when approached, although rarely initiates a relationship himself without an ulterior motive in mind, and has a tendency to shy away from open confrontation, all under the guise of being a bit introverted. He's not much of a risk taker in general, although he can be fairly adaptable despite this. Truthfully, Isaac is fairly distant emotionally, and most of his friendliness is superficial and ultimately devoid of any strong emotion. He does have an aversion to direct confrontation, although this stems more from a fear of being cornered (physically or psychologically) than any social nervousness. As such, his timidity in social settings is largely exaggerated, if not fabricated altogether. Additionally, Isaac has a knack for compartmentalizing emotions until he wants to deal with them. While he may conduct himself efficiently in a stressful situation on the battlefield without compromising his integrity or freezing up, he's likely to break down later when he finally mentally addresses the issue. He's prone to dissociative episodes after life-threatening scenarios or highly stressful moments, although he's adept at delaying this until he has a moment to himself. Backstory: Isaac was born to a low-caste family in Paragon-owned southern France, who - although poor - had a relatively good life under the corporation. He entered Paragon's military as soon as possible in order to help provide for his family, although he really didn't have much heart for fighting at his core. Due to his high sync ratios and quick development of NC piloting competency, however, he was slated to be "promoted" to one of Paragon's Agents. While this increase in status was a boon, it also meant he'd have a much more active role in combat, which he wasn't keen on. His excellent aim made him ideal for assassination or simply removing high-priority targets from the battlefield, and Isaac quickly had to learn to dehumanize others during his training. While it wasn't so hard when they were both inside giant hulks of metal, face-to-face combat still left him a bit uneasy. When it came time for actual deployment, Isaac was assigned Algernon; a rat-like NC that deviated from Paragon's usual designs for the purpose of misdirection. An NC that cannot be easily attributed to any one corporation leaves room for doubt in the enemy's mind, and can result in the foe not even realizing who was shooting at them in the first place. His role was to be deployed globally, scurrying into the midst of a warzone like the rodent his mech resembled and eliminating whatever targets Paragon saw most effective at weakening other corporations or strengthening their own interests. Currently, he's been deployed to Haven under the guise of a helping hand to the last bastion of democracy, with no obvious connection to Paragon Industrial. In reality, he'd been tasked with preventing Red Star from taking Australia and expanding their power, taking out as many of the corporation's ace pilots as he could while doing so. For the most part, his interests do align with the Havenites, although he is still on a rival corporation's payroll, for better or worse. Tactical Preferences and Skills: Due to the strengths of his NC and aforementioned fear of being cornered, Isaac likes to keep a healthy distance between himself and his enemies. While he's calm and collected at long ranges, an enemy invading his comfort zone will result in Isaac aggressively aiming to flee whenever possible rather than holding his ground. He's trained in small arms, and has excellent vision and aim both in and out of an NC, however he likes to limit his extra-vehicular combat to a minimum. Notes: Text Color: ff8533 ------ NC Character Sheet Code-name: Algernon Appearance:

Standing at a meager 12 feet, the verminous chassis of Algernon is sleek, lithe, and unassuming. To allow for increased mobility, it has very little armor comparative to other NCs, with most of the defensive plating being centered around the cockpit and reactor in the upper torso and fuel tanks in the thighs. A single primary thruster takes up the bulk of the space on Algernon's back, with three notable, spike-like antennae mounted above and two more-maneuverable secondary thrusters below. While it is fully capable of standing and operating on its hind legs, Algernon is designed to be able to move on all fours at a much faster pace. Body Type: Bipedal (Can transition to quadrupedal for enhanced mobility) Type of NC: Long-Range Eliminator Equipment & Armaments: Lancer: A rather bulky, but collapsible rifle connected to Algernon's right arm. The primary mode of fire consists of a very precise railgun, designed to pierce through all but the toughest plating and shields at long range, albeit with an abysmally low rate of fire. In the event of a shorter range engagement, the secondary fire mode repurposes the weapon's electromagnetic rails for plasma generation that can be discharged similarly to a standard plasma rifle. When Algernon converts to its quadrupedal movement mode, or simply requires usage of both hands, the lancer folds back and attaches itself to the forearm. Climbing Claws: Retractable blades that jut from Algernon's fingers and feet, designed to dig into terrain for a better grip, both for stability when firing its railgun and climbing structures to reposition itself in a more favorable vantage point. Additionally, the claws can be used as melee weapons in a pinch, should Algernon be cornered in range. Enhanced Sensor Array: Algernon's head and upper back are equipped with antannae that provide long-range radar, heat signature sensors, and aim-assisting software, designed for enemy detection and increased accuracy within the formidable range of Algernon's railgun. Pulse Disabler: Mounted on the tip of Algernon's prehensile tail, the disabler is a small electromagnetic pulse emitter that can be thrust into an enemy NC to temporarily debiliate it long enough for Algernon to make a quick escape. Depending on the defensive measures of the target, the effects can range from lethargy and discoordination all the way to complete system reboot in units with particularly cheap or damaged electronics. Sensor Jammer: An antenna on Algernon's upper back can disrupt enemy radar or sensory equipment in its immediate vicinity, making it very hard to track without a direct line of sight while active.
