Vampires feed and survive on the blood of the living, typically on that of humans, and they can also transform other humans into more of their kind by sharing their own blood with them. 
[*] [b]Bloodlines[/b]: A bloodline describes a group of vampires who share a common lineage, weakness and Disciplines but are distinct from one of the thirteen clans. The childe of a vampire who belongs to a bloodline will always belong to the same bloodline as her sire, and there's no set way to change one's lineage. However all vampires derive from the original source bloodline.
