Aubrey Denvers
Taking into consideration how difficult it can be for her to get good sleep due to her nightmares, Aubrey wanted to be prepared and left for South Carolina a few days earlier than she needed to be there, so she could make sure she was well rested and ready for her first day at the academy. First days anywhere could be stressful, but throwing in a bunch of high school aged people with powers, would no doubt make things even more tense. Bree was actually nervous as she stood at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive, for more reasons than just her fear of riding in a vehicle. Nervousness wasn't a feeling she often experience, but the accident had thrown her confidence quite a bit. Aubrey didn't pay much attention to the other occupants on the bus as she stepped on and made her way to the very back. There weren't very many people sitting back there, and she didn't have to worry about getting carsick either. She chose to sit right down one end close to the window, so she could stare out at the passing scenery and focus her mind on something other than how anxious she was. Once she was seated, she pulled her phone and earphones out of her bag and placed her earphones in her ears before scrolling through her various playlists to find some music to listen to for the ride. Thankfully the trip passed quicker than she expected, and before she knew it they had arrived at the academy. Bree waited patiently for everyone ahead of her to exit the bus -using that time to put her phone and earphones away- before making her own way off. She stuck to the back of the group as they made their way from the bus to the auditorium for the assembly, and then again when they moved from the auditorium to the cafeteria. By that time most of her nervousness had passed, and she was feeling at ease enough to actually want to eat. However, as she was making her way over to the counter where all the food was, she nearly collided with a very irritated looking girl as she was storming off after yelling at another girl. Thankfully she noticed what was about to happen and was able to step out of the way at the last second. Bree hadn't seen what had happened, but she had heard what was said, and she felt sorry for the girl, so she decided to make her way over and make sure she was okay. "Hey, are you alright?" Aubrey asked softly. After the yelling and threatening that had taken place, she didn't want to talk too loudly and risk startling the other female, who already seemed to be a little shaken up.
