Backstory is still WIP, but I figured I'd post this to also officially state my interest! He has the distinct combination of bright blue eyes and blonde hair, the latter of which is kept at a medium length and is more often than not a bird's nest atop his head. His skin is fair to match his eyes and hair. He usually dresses in uniforms to standard. Despite the formal wear, however, he carries himself rather lax. His hands are often in his pockets, his eyelids half-closed as though he's ready for a nap, and his general body language being very relaxed. Even when he gets heated, he won't appear much more aggressive than that. When he is dressing casual, he'll stick to dress pants and shirts, though will wear them much more comfortably--loose tie, sleeves unbuttoned and rolled up, a jacket on his shoulders if it's suitably cold, and the like.
[sub]Personality[/sub]
Steadfast and even-tempered--with a slight, ever-constant lean towards the aloof side of things--Camus is difficult to get a reaction from beyond relatively subtle facial expressions. Despite this, he's a surprisingly good 'people person.' He has an easy time reading others, and intuitively understands how he can best interact with them in almost any given moment. Grossly empathetic, he is quick to be burdened by the troubles of those around him, and has developed a strongly self-sacrificial nature; he hides this under his subdued personality and oft purposefully mildly abrasive rebukings directed towards squadmates for doing things he considers stupid (especially in regards to piloting Magecha). It's not something he enjoys doing, but he accepts the trade of temporarily hurt feelings in favour of better pilots--it's what will keep them all alive, after all, and though it's not something he'll make an announcement out of, the last thing he wants to see is his comrades injured or killed. He always quietly watches out for people, and therefore isn't keen on taking shit when it comes to the life-or-death situations pilots often find themselves in. By the same token, Camus is also quick to direct blame coming from authority figures towards himself, and is harder on himself than anyone else. Since losing the other two members of his Pack he's prone to anxiety, though he can ignore it when he's doing his job--and somewhat when he's not, with the help of cigarettes and alcohol. While once quite devoted to Westeria (as it's difficult not to be with his upbringing), he's begun to question the point of going to war for those above him who only think of him as a number and a tool. Instead, his desire in life has shifted more to going into battle for his comrades. Though he doesn't have delusions of grandeur, the thought of being a 'hero' of sorts is appealing to him. This stems from this desire to help and protect those around him, and so he soldiers on for now with the thought in mind. It's a duty he takes seriously, despite his own flaws, as well as the ones of Westeria as a whole. Along with his willingness to put himself in danger for the sake of others, and a lack of qualms with what he must do for that goal, it makes him a good--if sometimes terrifying--soldier to have on your side. The boy has his insecurities, like any other young adult. Not particularly excelling in any real skills in comparison to the other elite pilots he is among leaves him wondering if he's really good enough to be assigned to such a powerful prototype Magecha, and he has fears of bringing others down due to this perceived lack of talents. What he does have, however, is that unbending drive of his, pushing him forward even in the most hopeless situations, and even capable of turning him into a demon possessed to accomplish his goals. Borderline psychopathic levels of willpower can make up for a lot, but it also brings with it its own set of complications.
[sub]Background Information (WIP)[/sub]
Brought into Westeria's child soldier program, assigned to the Tuko pack along with a girl name Yaia and a boy named Elyas. This Pack was bit ahead of the Aiga Pack (as in like, a year above if the program were a school lol). In a battle with the Magecha Defiance, Yaia and Elyas are killed, while Camus survives due to his magic. With this proof of concept of his unique ability, he's kept on active duty despite showing the beginnings of some concerning signs that might suggest him to be a risk to make use of--for now, it's decided the risk is worth it and he's made the pilot of Type 20X "Judgement" and used as a fourth member when needed for the few other Packs from the program. This is most commonly the Aiga Pack, due to Type 19X "Sun" and Type 18X "Moon" being more fragile units that could always make use of a meatshield of sorts; not to mention the synergy with Type 17X "Star"'s healing to go with Judgement's reparation through conjuring. Due to the rather undamaged condition his Magecha was found in after the battle in which Yaia and Elyas were slain, those not privy to the top secret information of the child soldier program view Camus with a level of disdain, presuming him to be a coward who ran and left his squadmates for dead.
[sub]Magic[/sub]
Camus is capable of one type of spell, though it's a versatile one. Conjuring allows him to use his naturally deep pool of Pneuma to create things from seemingly thin air. The more complex the object, the the more Pneuma it takes to create, as well as taking a bit extra time--complexity is the big limiter, rather than size. Other than taking more Pneuma, a Magecha-sized sword is just as simple and quick to conjure as a human-sized sword. As long as he understands the structure of the object he wishes to conjure--how it's built, and how it functions--he can create it with varying amounts of effort. Other than creating simple weapons for his Magecha, he most often uses this in a slightly more creative way that appears to those not in the know as simple rapid regeneration. Intimately familiar with any unit he pilots, he can quickly conjure up material that is used to repair damage. If the unit has lost a limb, then the material grows from the stump outward, until the limb is quickly fully formed again. In theory, Camus can improvise very much--instead of the original limb, he could have a pincer arm or something of the sort. The issue with this though is that he needs to fully understand and be able to visualize how such a limb would function--without solid knowledge of this, the intergrity of the regenerated limb would be extremely fragile and ineffective. This prevents him from conjuring anything impossible. If it couldn't be crafted and function through normal means, it can't be conjured and function as he might wish to imagine it to.
[sub]Theme List[/sub]
- 1. Cam

Callsign Trumpet is a plain unit in both appearance and function, crafted to complement Camus' absurd 'regeneration' factor through the use of his conjuring magic. Trumpet is not the fastest unit, nor the most powerful, but with the assistance of Camus' magic, it is certainly the most durable ever created. The simplicity of the design reduces the load on Camus when conjuring material to repair it, so much so that the machine can appear to rise from the dead after near total destruction when given at least several minutes. Putting Trumpet down isn't quite as difficult as it is to put down most other cutting-edge Magecha, but keeping the unit down is a decidely more difficult task--one that could easily be believed to be 'impossible' by those who have seen Camus in action. Type 20X "Judgement" is an unrelenting, nigh-inescapable force, and--sooner or later--it must be answered to by all it sets its sights upon. [sub]Armaments[/sub]
- Heavy broadsword - Swarm of small drones housed in the unit, released to automatically assist with repairs - A system of magnetism that can be switched on and off, allowing both the attraction and repulsion of nearby metals--most importantly those comprising enemy Magecha - Anything Camus can manage to conjure with the use of his magic--generally sticks to simple things like swords or maces, but can conjure more complex projectile weapons at the cost of more Pneuma and having heavily studied the structure of the weapons ahead of time
