Edward blinked. He looked at his father. He nodded. Perhaps he did have a chance. He glanced at Emily when he noticed her glancing at him again and quickly look away. He assumed that she was a rather shy girl. He looked towards his father again. There was a question in his eyes. He wondered if he should get Emily out of the room for a time. He needed an excuse though. 


Emily had glanced at Edward. But, she kept glancing away. She didn't know why she suddenly felt so shy. She had met other princes before. She wondered what was wrong with her. 
She was lost in her own thoughts as her father continued to talk with the vampire king. He spoke of his own ancestors and how he needed them to be proud of his family. His family has ruled their lands for many generations after all.
