WIP
Victoria Nihilitas Age: 21 Appearance: Victoria stands a proud 5 foot 6 inches tall and has a slim, firm athletic build to her hourglass shape. However this is rarely seen as Victoria is always dressed warmly under several layers of clothes, scarves, and jackets. Even when the situation would allow her to wear lighter cloths, she always bundles up. She never seems to overheat with all her clothes, which is fortunate in warm conditions. Even if she was without her cloths, the nature of her powers make it so she does not feel the full brunt of the cold. Victoria is always wearing boots of some kind. She walks with her heel hitting first to keep her movements as silent as possible. She often looks like she is lonely or distant. She does tend to sit apart from others. Personality: God: Glacityr, dragon god of Ice and Justice, Bringer of the Ice Age, Judge of Souls. Glacityr is the dragon god of the cold, ice, and Justice. His dominion is over all lands that are blessed by snowfall. He is a tester of souls. His frigid domains allow for only the truly prepared, the truly skilled, and the truly worthy survive. Periods of his dominance among the gods are known on earth as the Ice Ages. He is the primary cause of climate change. He has a fairly cut and dry view of justice. Passion, desire, and mercy have no sway on his judgement. Either you are guilty or you won’t, Either you have prepared yourself to survive the blizzard or you have not. Living in the Tundra is no different than being in the courtrooms of this dragon. Not even his mortal champion can escape his judgement. Either she is prepared or not. This black and white sense of justice and his truly cold impartiality has helped him serve as an arbiter of disputes between the gods and even among daemis. Deamis: Histrio Saeva, Daemis of Deals, schemes, plots, and betrayal. Devour of the Hopeful, Scorn of the Ambitious, and manipulator of Fates. Histrio is the Daemis lord who most loves to play with humans. He likes to set up elaborate plans and watch how the humans reacts. He loves to see them struggle to solve problems or even attempt to comprehend his machinations. He will use humans both willing and unwilling to sow distrust and discontent within any community that he believes will be entertaining. Histrio will often enter into pacts and make deals with humans. Trading some of his power to the mortal in exchange for services. Most often the Mortal must participate in one of the Daemis’s schemes. It may be as simple as attempting to assassinate a leader, or perhaps infiltrated a group and be elected the leader. All usually serve no purpose than to amuse Histrio. He does honor his deals, however, he also enforces his deals with force when needed. If a mortal tries to wiggle out of his deals, he will likely punish them. Death would be a mercy compared to how he does. He will often steal the faces of those who break his deals, leaving the victim a disfigured monstrosity. Histrio does not often use his agents to manipulate mortal affairs. He quite often goes himself. He has the ability to change his shapes, size, and voice. He will take the appearance of Mortals and personally interact with mortals. He will appear as a savior to mortals who are in dire situations, life-and-death situations, and using an innocent, honest looking form, to ‘encourage’ mortals to make deals. He has been known to appear as an Angelic being if that would help him win a soul in a deal. Abilities: Ice Transformation - Level 0 - Range: Self - Ice (Histrio Saeva) - Effect: This spell allows Victoria to change herself into a ice elemental. She becomes a solid piece of ice in a variety of shapes. Her flesh, blood, and clothes all morph into the ice form she becomes and will return to normal when she transforms back. The only things that do not transform with her is whatever she is carrying. Most often this is her rifle. In all of these forms, Victoria gains a small regenerative ability. If her ice is damaged, cracked, melted, she will be stuck in that form until she can regenerate and refreeze her wounds. An advantage in this form is also the ability to see infrared heat. This can help her avoid high heat areas and offers limited nighttime advantages. Form 1: Ice Fairy This form is the same size (and shape) as Victoria herself. Its humanoid shape does little to improve Victoria’s natural talents. She still runs, jumps, rolls, and dances just like she would if she was still flesh and bone. The advantages from this form mainly come from being made of Ice. She becomes more resistant to physical trauma in this form. She becomes immune to the cold but she becomes vulnerable to excessive heat. Melting is a painful experience. Form 2: Ice wolf This form is a solid block of living ice in the shape of an arctic wolf. On all fours, the wolf form is 2.5 feet tall at the shoulder and 4 feet long, snout to tail. This form provides advantages in stealth and mobility. Because of the small size, Victoria can move through spaces she would not be able to otherwise. In short bursts, Victoria can sprint and reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. Victoria mainly uses this form when scouting or setting up defensive traps. Also, while in this form she loses the ability to speak in human languages, but she can still understand them. Ice Bomb - Level: 0 - Range: Varies based on Form - Ice (Glacityr) - Effect: This spell has a variety of effects based on what form that Victoria is currently in. Always this spell has explosive results. However, rather than releasing heat, it releases a debilitating cold. The icy explosion has no loyalty. Anything caught inside the blast radius, friend, foe, or innocent, will suffer the freezing effect of the blast. The rapid freezing of the explosion is like being sprayed with liquid nitrogen. Exposed Flesh instantly freezes and blisters like frostbite. Metals becomes brittle with the cold. Fires are snuffed out. Effects based on form: Human form - While in this form, the ice bomb spell takes the shape of an malleable ice crystal. This is very reminiscent of normal C4 in its properties. It has similar effects to C4 as well. It can be used to make a charge that can break open doors, disable buried landmines, or even make make-shift traps. Without an outside detonator, such as a tripwire or a motion sensor, Victoria must be within 50 meters of this icy explosive in order to set it off at her command. Ice Fairy - While Victoria is in this form, the ice bomb spell takes the form of a standard issue Hand grenade. It must be thrown by Victoria. This gives an effective range on the bomb of about 10 meters from at most 50 meters. The limiting factor is entirely on Victoria’s throwing arm. She could drop the grenade into a launcher or with a slingshot, but these are not something she normally carries. The moment the icy snowball of a grenade leaves Victoria’s hand it becomes active. It will detonate without fail after 10 seconds. Even in her Ice Fairy form, getting hit with a detonation her grenade will hurt her. Not from the cold but the raw concussive force of the blast. Ice Wolf - While in this form, her lack of hands necessitated a different kind of explosive. The Spell Ice bomb takes the form of a landmine in this form. It can by place under any one of Victoria’s four paws. The landmine is placed on the floor with a spell circle rune and armed as soon as Victoria lifts her paw off of the spell rune. When placed, the runes will glow for about 10 minutes before slowly failing. The landmine will remain even after the glow fades. Anything that impacts the center of the rune circle will set of an icy explosion. It does not care if that thing is a friend to Victoria or if it is Victoria herself. Ice Barrier - Level: 0 - Range: Self - Ice (Glacityr) - Effect: This spell creates a plate of Ice that can be used to prevent ranged attacks from getting to Victoria. Like her other spells, this size and uses of this barrier plate will vary with her form. The Ice in this barrier is magically reinforced, but It will break if enough force is applied to it. Normal Form - While in this form, Victoria can use the Ice barrier spell to make a small wall of ice before her. Most often this is used to make a barrier for Victoria to hide behind while she fires her rifle back at her enemy, or until she can get to a better piece of cover. The Ice wall provides cover but it does not provide concealment. The wall is transparent but will distort the image of what is beyond the wall. This Ice wall cannot be moved once placed and she needs time to gather up enough magic to cast the spell again. The wall is as strong as a brick wall and can take a bit of a beating before it shatters. However, heat from fire and lasers are able to cut through this barrier like butter. Ice Fairy - While in this form, the ice barrier spell becomes three floating shields of ice. This ice shields will float around Victoria about 4 feet away from her. She can use these mobile shields to absorb incoming ranged attacks. When she is not actively commanding the shields, they orbit around her slowly. If she is lucky, they may intercept a shot, but that is unlikely. When Victoria actively uses her shields, they can rapidly respond to attacks from a directed direction almost like they were independently minded. The Shields will hover closely together between her and who she declares is her attacker. They will take as much damage as they can before they shatter. Victoria must take a moment to restore each shield one at a time so the loss of a shield can cause some serious concern for her. Like all ice, heat and fire are very likely to destroy her shields and she will try to avoid blocking such attacks if she can. Ice Wolf - While in this form, this ice barrier spell takes on more utilitary role. As Victoria has no hands in this form, this version serves such a function. It summons a single plate of ice. This plate can be used to carry objects as it floats around her. She can use this plate as a jumping platform to get to normally unreachable places. And in dire situations, she can use it as a single use shield to block an incoming attack. Weapon: Victoria’s main weapon is a Finnish M/28-30. This weapon fires 7.62 mm rounds with an effective range of 500 meters with an total maximum range of 2000 meters. The rifle has a foot long bayonet, but Victoria actively avoids using it if she can help it. Victoria LOVES this weapon. She is not opposed to using a more effective weapon and she often does for short periods, but she chooses to use this rifle out of personal and emotional reasons. When Victoria was still young, she scavenged a small ruins of a library. She found a book detailing a war in the far north of the world, between a mighty empire called Russia and a small country called Finland. It told the story of how in the mists of a unusually long winter, the Finnish people held out against the endless forces of the Russians. Notably, a mythological figure emerged from the fighting known by that evil empire by the name of the “White Death”. A Finnish man named Simo Hayha. The man used a M/28-30 to achieve a stunning 259 sniper kills in less than 100 days. Ultimately he got credited with 505 kills before he was wounded and taken out of the fight. He fought a doomed defensed for a country that could not hope to resist an empire on the march. This part history turned myth inspires Victoria even to this day. When she was a teenage, Nyx found her a replica of a M/28-30. Victoria was filled with joy and insisted on using the rifle. Relationships: TBA
