Edward looked at his father as the human king spoke. He glanced at Emily to make sure that she was alright. 
Emily was looking between her father, Edward, and the vampire king. Her father spoke almost firmly. 
"There will be political implications if something were to happen to my daughter. She must never be alone, not even for a moment. I am to receive reports of their time, and during their time. They are not to get intimate unless there is to be an engagement."
