In normal circumstances, Michael would have let out a sarcastic remark in response to Bowser welcoming him into his "army". However, these were not normal circumstances. For one, Bowser looked like he could rip him to shreds in seconds. Two, they were the only allies he had in this new world, and he didn't want to get on their bad side. In Michael's criminal career, he learned early on that sometimes, you had to know when to suck up to people. So, he didn't say anything, and only gave a nod when Bowser acknowledged him. Let's just hope he doesn't screw me over like Devin Weston and the FIB did. Looking ahead, he could see that there were three paths going forward, and took in the details on each of them. Hm...if I had to guess, I'd say that the middle one looks the safest...don't know what all those creatures are, but they don't look too healthy. As he listened in to Bowser talking to a newcomer that he hadn't noticed before, some sort of...weird mutant cat thing, he looked back to the creatures that lined the road. So, that's what they look like when they're brainwashed? Good to know. Apparently, these things were once Bowser's minions, and he was yelling at them to shake off the mind control. No idea what Kirby did to free us, but I don't think that's gonna cut it... Meanwhile, the schizophrenic cowboy from earlier decided to go off on the most intimidating looking path, to nobody's surprise. Yeah, have fun, pal. Watch out for deathclaws. Something that he did find interesting was that when he asked for payment, Bowser offered him a lump of gold. I wouldn't mind some of that...but, I mean, do I really need it? Turning his attention away from him, he noticed that the anime-looking robot- Blazermate...weird name- seemed to be beckoning to him to join her on Bowser's shoulders. The idea of riding around on someone else sounded a bit off to him, but at the same time, he really didn't want to go hiking in dress shoes and while carrying around a .50 cal. So, with a shrug, he walked up to Bowser. "Excuse me. Gonna climb up, if you don't mind." With that, he climbed up his shell, until he was near to where Blazermate was. Looking over his shoulder, he scanned the terrain. "I could probably get a good shot from up here, but you might want to cover your ears first. Although, it'll probably be overkill for these things." He said towards Bowser.

Mario path/429 words
