Penelope glanced helplessly over her shoulder as Olivia dragged her over to a nearby table. Since she was now forced to work with Olivia, that meant that Gavin and Crow would be stuck working together, something that was not ideal for anyone. However, it was too late to turn back as they reached the group Olivia had selected. Her friend wasted no time in sitting down and ordering two drinks. Letting out a soft sigh of defeat, Penelope sat down in the empty seat besides her and gave a polite smile to the villagers who were now eying them curiously. "Sorry to pop in unannounced. My friend and I here were just hoping to find some company to drink with." Olivia grinned. One man shrugged his shoulders and stared down at his drink. "I'm guessing you two are travelers." he sighed. "Yeah, we just got here." Penelope nodded and took a small sip of her drink. "We're just passing through." Olivia said dismissively. She eyed the peasants for a moment before raising her mug up. "How about we play a game? I like to call it the adult version of hide and seek. First we chug our drinks then we hide under the table. Those who managed to make it up from the ground continue to the next round and those who can't get up, well, they're out." She paused before pulling out her coin purse. "I'll even make it interesting." Penelope looked over at Olivia with a small sigh. She hoped the female knight didn't intend to get drunk again but it seemed that she was. However, she also noticed that it likely wasn't too bad of an idea. The peasants at the table had only been drinking a small amount, certainly not enough to make them loose lipped. A drinking game would definitely help that. They seemed reluctant to participate though, likely not in the mood. She shifted and pulled out her own coin purse from her boot as well. "I'm willing to put in some money on that as well." she offered, making Olivia grin wildly. Surely it would be fine as long as she didn't actually drink, right? With more money on the table, the peasants quickly joined in and became a bit more lively than before. Olivia raised her mug to begin the game and glanced over at Penelope, smirking mischievously. "And remember, no cheating~! Especially you!" she warned. Penelope's eyes widened slightly, realizing a little too late the trap she had fallen into. With Olivia's words, more eyes would be on her, making it difficult to merely pour out her drink to pretend she had chugged it. The female knight eyed her mug with reservation. She didn't want to get drunk but she had already agreed to the game. Well.. it's too late to back out of this round... she thought with a long sigh. As Olivia announced for them to begin, she lifted the drink to her lips and downed it alongside the other players. After one drink, she already began to feel the effects of the alcohol hitting her system, especially after drinking it so fast. With the others, she ducked down under the table, nearly feeling a bit sick with the fast motion. However, she knew she could handle it. It wasn't her first time playing this game with Olivia. Back in the inner kingdom, they had played such games within the tavern multiple times and though she usually never won, she at least made it through a few rounds. Without thinking it through, she made it back up from the ground with most of the others. A couple peasants struggled a bit with getting back to their seats and one even stayed on the ground, deciding it was better to quit early. Something that she should have done. She let out a quiet groan as they order more drinks. She should have just let herself lost so that she would only have to go through one round. "On second thought, I think I'll give up." she said waving her hand as Olivia passed her another mug. "Too late! You already got back up so you're in this again." Olivia declared. "Rules are rules!" a woman grinned. "Yeah! I'll feel guilty for taking your coin if you're giving up that easy!" chuckled one man. Penelope sighed and gave a reluctant nod, raising the mug up again. There was a small cheer before Olivia quickly began the next round. Lifting the mug up, she drank down the ale with the others. It seemed stronger this time as it hit her, making her feel fuzzy. She hurried under the table and leaned back against one of the legs. This time she stayed down as the others hurried back up, gladly accepting defeat. I shouldn't have drank that much... she leaned her head back and listened as Olivia continued on with the rounds. It went on for a little bit longer and Olivia soon joined Penelope under the table, however, the other female knight wasn't drunk. Olivia smirked at Penelope and shrugged her shoulders. "Don't worry.. I didn't drink this time. I figured it would be more fun to get you drunk this time.. Plus less pain for me in the morning." she whispered. "You'rre an-aass." Penelope slurred. Olivia laughed. "What? I just wanted to lighten the mood a bit. Now shh.. they're almost done." Penelope glared at her silently and listened as the group finished their game. Olivia helped get her back up as they joined the now drunken group at the table yet again. "Well that was fun~~" Olivia purred as she leaned back in her seat. There was a murmur of agreement and the man that won was grinning proudly. "Don' forget the..." Penelope paused. What was she trying to remember again? It seemed important. "the mission thing.." Now she recalled it. They were there on a mission of some sorts. She couldn't think of the details though and merely hoped Olivia did. "Mission?" echoed one man. "Oh right." Olivia chuckled and leaned heavily onto the table. "We're looking for an old friend of ours.. That's why we're traveling you see.. Maybe you've seen him?" "Whats he look like?" "Ah.." Olivia paused and ran a hand through her hair. "You know... I can't really remember now." Her words caused for a laugh to cross over the group. She smiled sheepishly and shrugged her shoulders. "He would have been traveling with a group though! A big one.. Any big groups pass through here lately?" "Hmmm..." One man drawled, exchanging looks with the others. "I think... think there was one.. But it was a while ago.." "How long?" "A week? Maybe?" he shrugged. "I dunno. It was a while ago and I don't remember much about them..There was like five or six of 'em.. " Olivia pursed her lips together before letting out a sigh. "I see.. Oh well.. Thanks! I think we better get going now though." she chuckled and stood up slowly before offering her hand to Penelope. "Come on, let's get your drunkass back to the other two." she snickered. Penelope glared at her and slowly stood up, reluctantly taking her friend's hand after noticing how wobbly she was on her legs.
