Kai nodded at Ratte's reply, but something to eat? He remembered being asleep before all that craziness started. What time was it anyway? They were just about to look for the third member of their team when he found them instead, the sack he was carrying an indication that he had been busy during his absence after the explosion at the tavern. The boy stared at the bag for a moment, wondering what could be in there. Perhaps they were weapons, or food. He assumed they would find out soon enough.

"We're fine," Kai responded, before leaning in closer. "So, to our new hideout?"

It was what they had been discussing before they were attacked, and after what had just happened, they all the more needed a place to lay low for some time.
