[b][color=darkcyan]Insight on Life Back Home:[/color][/b] Life for Karuma back home is Awkward to say the least. Karuma was birthed to the Second-In-Command, and the most reliable Healer of the pack. Big shoes to fill, thats for sure. When Karuma was just maturing from a pup into a young wolf, his father the Beta was called into action by the Alpha of the pack. There was trouble brewing, the kind of trouble that threatened the whole packs way of life, or so Karuma was told, when he asked his father why he was leaving with a band of the stronger wolves from the pack. Karuma's father never came back, and neither did the other wolves. Karuma was too young and naive to understand the sacrifice his father took in order to protect their home.

If that wasn't enough, Karuma's mother; an expert healer and tracker, went out in search of her beloved, refusing to believe he'd perished. She didn't come back either, leaving Karuma with her last words and an old photo to hold dear. After a week passed and Karuma's mother didn't return, the Alpha, with great admiration for Karuma's parents decided he'd personally watch over the pup's growth. The Alpha of their pack was always a caring and kind person, but he was still Alpha, and as such had an air of influence and authority around him. Karuma longed for the safe shielding his parents provided him in his youth, with a gentle hand and a soft voice.. In time, the pity and kindness the other wolves of the pack showed Karuma turned to envy and jealousy.

"I began to resent the Alpha of my pack, slipping away from his watchful gaze for a few moments of solitude and clarity. The Alpha wasn't a bad person, but he was too smothering, too persistent. A wolf needs to stretch his legs every now and then. With Alpha it was all business and 'Keeping the pack Safe.' I think he just wanted me to follow in my fathers paw prints."
