Her upbringing, just like her brother's, was a rather rough one. Their father beat the young siblings on a regular basis, leading Allison to run away from home all too often only to return when it was late enough to sneak back into the house. But her father was always there, always waiting. Allison grew up resenting him for his constant abuse, and when she was old enough, she would take Gabe with her, knowing she could take care of him and protect him. It was her role after all, being the older sister. When her mother passed away, Allison's world crumpled. She cut herself a few times, foolishly believing it'd do more than temporarily numb the pain. But she was wrong. Eventually, Allison's cutting phase went as quickly as it came. A while later, after puberty hit and her hormones started acting up, Allison got pregnant by her boyfriend, Mitch. She was only 14. She knew she could not tell anyone, especially her father, or he would beat her within an inch of death. Allison sought out help and eventually got an abortion, deciding to keep the traumatic experience from her family. She was bed-ridden for a while, but she feigned not feeling well. Another death did anything but good for Allison, and her and her brother turned to crime given that they were old enough to hang with the wrong crowd. It was one mischief after the other; Gabe eventually getting charged with his first offense but Allison managing to slip through the cracks. Allison wasn't sure whether it was their new lifestyle or the fact that they knew their futures were already sealed, but she noticed a change in Gabe that she didn't like. She never spoke of it, but the thought was there, and it bothered the hell out of her. Eventually, when Gabe left for the Army, Allison felt as if he had abandoned her. Sure, she was old enough to move out on her own long ago, but she didn't have any money since it would get used up that same weekend she got her paycheck. She experimented with drugs a few times, woke up in strangers' rooms, and was even kidnapped once, but none of that compared to the pain she felt at home. Eventually, when Daniel got drunk enough to attempt to have sex with her, Allison smashed a glass over his head and ran out, hoping to never see him again. Allison was homeless for a few days before she found a roommate who worked at a nightclub. She figured she could use that bit of steady income and although she wasn't used to the attention, Allison eventually started enjoying her new position as a cocktail waitress. [/hider]
