	A true Slytherin, Paige does whatever it takes and makes whatever sacrifices must be made in order to see the end that she wants. She has been known to manipulate and deceive her friends, in order to get them to do what she wants, and while she feels some remorse about it, she isn't going to change her behavior. There are very few people that she lets in and trusts fully, perhaps exemplifying the motto [i]keep your friends close and your enemies closer[/i]. Now this isn't to say that she is apathetic and cold hearted - she does love her friends and wants what is best for them, but that doesn't mean she doesn't keep them in the dark if she thinks that's best. 

	Her personality has considerable influence from her older brother, Simon. He messed with the dark arts during his time at Hogwarts, with rumors flying around that he is part of the remnants of You-Know-Who's Death Eaters. Her drive and ambition is to prove herself different from her brother - that rather than being out to hurt people and using her talents to bring about pain, she wants to break curses and end suffering. She has good intentions - just questionable methods.

[b][color=41700D]How did you come into your magic:[/color][/b] Paige's family was more or less expecting for her to be magical. She first showed signs of magic when she was five years old. Her brother was moving out of the family home and into his own place, and little Paige didn't want Simon to leave. Of course, she didn't know that his roommates were Death Eaters at the time. The door bolted itself, preventing Simon from leaving and the windows became impossible to open. Her parents laughed themselves silly over the entire thing. 

[b][color=41700D]General History:[/color][/b] Paige was born in Bristol, a predominantly muggle run maritime city in England. It was ideal for her father, as he worked for the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. His job was to ensure that the various aquatic magical creatures were not found by muggles, as well as help any of the creatures who had gotten themselves into a tough spot and needed human aid. Her mother wrote for the Daily Prophet, using apparition to get around in order to find her stories. Consequently when she was little, Paige was either watched by her older brother (they had a 13 year age gap) or she went with her father to work. 

Her older brother left behind a less than desirable reputation during his time at Hogwarts. Simon had been dabbling with the Dark Arts and when he graduated, he joined You-Know-Who's forces, taking the dark mark. This influenced people's perception of Paige when she attended Hogwarts, especially when she was a first year and Voldemort's reign of terror had not quite yet come to its end. The other Slytherins accepted her, but some of the students shot her dirty looks, expecting that she was just another blood purist - that she was no different than her brother and the other Death Eaters murdering witches, wizards, and muggles across Great Britain. 

Simon's reputation pushed Paige into being as different from him as she could, even after the fall of You-Know-Who. They both had been sorted into Slytherin House and Paige thought at first about becoming an auror, catching dark wizards like Simon and bringing them to justice. However, as much as that would have done the trick, it bored her. She didn't want to be a glorified cop. Instead, in one of their dreary History of Magic lectures second year, Professor Binns mentioned Curse-Breakers. These individuals had daring and exciting lives, where they used their wits to break curses, find treasure, and save people. She decided that was what she was going to do and started reading all she could about Curse-Breakers in the library. 

Professor Snape has been a good mentor to Paige, helping her to study what she needs to in order to pursue this path. She got into trouble too much in order to make prefect, but she didn't care. Sneaking out late to duel, plotting to explore the Forbidden Forest - that's what is going to help her in the future, not some silly badge. She never tried out for Quidditch for a similar reason.
