Out of all the colors I am most fond of, those being earthen or related woody browns, various shades of tans and tawny, emerald greens, sapphire blue, or amber gold and the like when some vibrancy is needed, I find that I am less than approving of colors or themes others tend to be. For example, I would never consider say red or orange but I would actually consider the "ugliest color by study" in Pantone 448 C. There just seems to be something natural to the colors found in nature that I prefer to those bright and brash. Even whites I prefer in subdued off-white, more grey or vanilla, than pure white and am fond of dabbling in grey to accent it as well.
