Plot:
October 1942, Stalingrad. Hitler's forces start to loose their hold on Stalingrad, albiet slightly. German forces are still entrenched and being reinforced into the city where Soviet Forces continue to fight them in fierce street to street urban combat. However, now the tanks have been called in and both sides are using armored warfare to their advantages. Your characters have one goal, to survive and help the tank crew break through the fascists battle lines to retake the city. However, this is the bloodiest battle in World War Two, expect many to fall and few to survive.

Rules:
.Your character must work with the tank crew or be a part of them, this roleplay story is narrated from their perspective, as well as the ground forces assigned to assist the crew.

.This is war, your character could die at any moment. This is a historical roleplay and thus it shall be very dark and cynical.

.Follow the plot, please.

.If we get too many people to be crew I may assign them to be ground soldiers or maybe add in another tank. That, and German characters could be added as well.

.We shall start when I see interest in the roleplay and I have some character sheets.

@RedPotato

It's okay, we need more crew members. Otherwise your character can be a ground soldier who rides the tank, or a German soldier.

@datadogie Perhaps, but know that you're going to mostly be riding atop the T-34, which is a very dangerous thing to do.

It's dangerous for anyone. Additionally, it'll be good observational as well as anti-infantry support. Plus, all else fails, I run for the buildings. ;) I'll get a character up somewhat soon, then.

@Jaredthefox92 I'm surprised if it's may be Stukas, and not there will be Stukas. XD

Also, do you want character sheets in here for acceptance, or straight into the Character tab?

I like to keep everyone guessing. The feel of unexpected danger is common in warfare.

I guess here, then if it's approved you post it in the character section.

Hmm, there's two things I see that maybe an issue. The first off is her age, she appears very young for a sergeant in the Soviet Union at this time, mostly because during this time soldiers would be much older as there was an overall need for more manpower and forces. Thus, I doubt they would get someone so close to almost a teenager to be a sergeant. Maybe bump up her age just a bit?

Also, while Kursk is a region in the Soviet Union, it would be very hard to explain how she was around during one of the biggest tank battles before this battle in the war. Unless, she was born in the city of Oblast. Was she born there prior to the war? Did she have any connections with the Red Revolution?

@Jaredthefox92, for the first point, I'd like to indicate that there have been snipers of varying ranks at varying ages. An example of this is the Soviet sniper Roza Shanina, who died at the age of twenty and at the rank of Senior Sergeant. Another example of a low age gaining a higher rank than their age would have is Zliya Nurmuhametqyzy Moldagulova. Though Corporal isn't exactly a high rank, she did obtain it at the age of eighteen, and there are reports of snipers having joined the war effort at the age of seventeen. I'd also like to point out that Corporal is an JNCO rank within the Soviet Army, so that adds evidence toward the fact that a higher NCO rank would not be far out of reach for someone so young. A different example is also Noah Petrovich Adamia, who died at rank 24 at the rank of Starshina, which is the equivalent to a Company Sergeant Major.

In terms of my character, it is simply that she entered the Soviet Army and Sniper Corp at the age of seventeen, as some did. It would give her four years of experience, which although isn't enough was enough to give Roza Shanina the rank of Senior Sergeant. If you're still not happy with what I've just evidenced, I can bump her age up a bit if you want, or just lower her rank a bit.

As for her birthplace, it is, well, her birthplace. I apologise for my joking tone here, but I'd be surprised if she wasn't born there prior to the war, else she would have entered the Army at the age of between one and five. To just cut things off, it's her birthplace, not her permanent place of settlement. In reality, she moved a lot, and most of her time was spent running away into the land regardless, to hunt or otherwise.

I see, well if that's the case I can deal with the age. The thing is I'm thinking the Union is in full all out wartime so they probably have older soldiers willing to fight for them anyways. (Often they were tossing people at machine guns, I don't think they were very selective in who they send into the frontlines.)

I see, well I would like for at least the battle to then be factored into her backstory. I mean when you have legions of tanks fighting all over the place there's bound to be some PTSD, even among civilians.
