Imma throw my characters in here. My Master for this, then the Servant I'm playing.
Name: Jacqueline Elizabeth Matthews Title(s): Lady Bérubé, The Mage Who Ran Gender: Female Appearance: Madeline is a tall, voluptuous woman with russet brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a kind face. She rarely appears cross, speaking with a smile in all but the most dire situations. She moves and acts like a refined lady of high station, perfect posture, noble bearing and so on. Her sense of fashion gears towards plain, comfortable sundresses and she doesn’t believe in gaudy makeup and jewelry. Madeline is hale and hearty with a healthy complexion. Age: 36 Alignment: Lawful Good Rank: Brand Objective: “Children. I-I want to have children.” Command Seal: Vaguely looks like the snake and cross symbol for medicine. Personality: Madeline is very much a refined lady with poise queens would envy. She isn’t overly fond of wearing her emotions on her sleeve and wears a composed mask that’s all kind, motherly smiles, and neutral gazes. Madeline has painstakingly crafted this facade to hide her rather radical givings where Mage tradition is concerned. In truth, Madeline is a sensitive, emotional soul who sees Mage society as cruel, cold, seeing others, even children and animals as mere tools, it simply disgusts her. The family she hails from is known for breeding radical mindsets in its generations, but is simply regarded as odd. Madeline is no exception but has since made herself a rather controversial figure in the Mage’s Association, due to her renouncing it only to come back years later with Command Seals and claiming herself the Bérubé family head. Madeline is well known for her patient, kind nature where students are concerned, and is adored by her students. She always makes time for them and enjoys conversing with them in the halls. Madeline genuinely believes in nurturing the minds of the next generation to the best of her ability; she does her best to teach them her gentle philosophies through subtle means. On that note, Madeline is a hopeless romantic, doting mother of five, and a connoisseur of teas. She makes time for tea every single day at 11:50 no sooner no later. Madeline is utterly dedicated to her work and husband, taking strides to balance him, work, and the breeding of her chimera. What possibly makes her unique to her fellow Masters is she is a pacifist and will refuse to outright kill another Master. Few people know but Madeline has a soft spot for her chimera and breeds them with meticulous care, doting on her precious creatures incessantly. Needless to say this particular instructor has a busy, rigorously maintained schedule. She has a few peeves, wasted words, and tardiness. She schools her students to think before speaking and to be punctual. A motto she frequently intiones is: ” Five minutes early is on time. On time is late. God help you if you’re five minutes late.” And yes the last bit is a thinly veiled threat. Lastly, Madeline is dogged by a deep sorrow that she’ll never have children as she is utterly barren, a curse brought on by a trick of genetics. This sorrow hits her often and hard, making her draw in on herself, especially when she spends time around kids. All she has wanted for a long time was be a mother, a drive that nearly surpasses her prowess as a Mage. Medicine and magic have failed her in this regard and is the reason she dedicated her life to studying medicine and restorative magic. She gave up however and let the sorrow drag her down to dark places, and when her first husband left her simply because she was barren she tried to commit suicide. While she has since come to terms with the fate life dealt her, she still holds out hope and is dogged by that singular sorrow. Background: Jacqueline Elizabeth Matthews was born into the Bérubé, a lesser Mage family despite its long history. They mainly kept to themselves, refining their specialized restorative magic and maintaining a whole slew of hospitals across France through cloak and dagger techniques. Through bribes and often threats they kept this a secret as the patients in their hospitals often became miraculously cured from often debilitating injuries.Jacqueline is the 17th generation daughter of this family, and it's only daughter and grew up learning to be a refined lady from a small army of tutors, all under the strict, hawklike eye of her mother. When she was ten however she was introduced to the family business, learning basic medicine alongside her magic lessons. Many a summer saw the young, bright eyed girl trail behind her father and uncle as they tended to the various hospitals and even sat in on highly complicated surgeries. When she was sixteen she was an early admission to the Clocktower. While most of her studies were average, it was her keen grasp on restorative magic that drew the attention of her peers and teachers. Given her family’s background it proved little surprise but her skill with the art was regarded as before her time as she quickly developed techniques of her own that were quick and often highly complicated. Her greatest feat came when she was nineteen and she healed a fellow Mage mangled by an incantation fire spell gone horribly wrong. His body was burned nearly beyond recognition and it seemed a miracle he wa seven still alive. She was able to heal him through hours of work and near constant application of magic. While she was unsuccessful in fully restoring his nervous system, he survived and even looked relatively normal past some sparse scarring. After graduating Jacqueline studied abroad, learning hundreds of new medical techniques and refining her own magic as well as studying under various masters, even an Einsburn mage, for whom she developed some knowledge of familiar magic. Through this schooling of magic, Jacqueline would lay the foundations of the Chimeric magic she would soon be famous for. Upon returning home, Jacqueline would be betrothed to Gregory von Heinz, a renowned Mage in his own right. Jacqueline took to being his wife with a certain zeal, dedicating herself to him as her mother had her father. He seemed fond of her too and they shared a delicate but kind engagement, that blossomed (for Jacqueline at least) into tender love. All seemed at peace with the world, Jacqueline and Gregory moved to London, she settled into her role as doting wife, and even began breeding her first chimeras (as a hobby more than anything). Life came to collect however when they discovered she couldn’t have children, she was barren. He left her without a second thought, divorcing her with impunity and leaving her with nothing. Jacqueline spent the next year severally depressed, she left the Association behind, left London behind, even left Europe altogether behind, moving to the Americas for a change in scenery. She sank deeper into depression and after trying to take her own life, and being forced to endure being strapped to a bed was submitted to counseling. While she found it degrading- a Bérubé falling this low!- she found it… helped somehow. Slowly she dug her way out of her depression with the help of her therapist, whom she saw twice a week. She got a job as a teacher’s aide with some help and eventually got herself a degree to teach. The next few years were spent with her teaching kindergarten, breeding her chimeras (which she took to having them look like common house pets) with growing skill, and volunteering at a local hospital where she helped here and there with a touch of magic. Life was… easier, to live, she found herself smiling more. She met Andrew Matthews, a new surgeon at the hospital she volunteered at. An instant connection sprouted between them. Jacqueline couldn’t quite place why she suddenly felt drawn to him, with his corny jokes and tack neckties. He was a sweetheart and shameless flirt where she was concerned. One day he caught her healing a child with magic, which he took in stride, a little taken aback. She tentatively decided to trust him with her secret and he asked her out. Since then she has been in the grips of a whirlwind romance that had her flying high. She still struggled every now and again but she felt truly happy. She and Andrew married and now there is talk of adopting, and the feeling she dreaded came back full force. Then the Command Seals appeared on her hand. The Grail War would be coming soon, and she has a single wish to be granted from the Grail. She has come back into the Association in a big way, pronouncing her participation within the War and ensuring that the Bérubé is back. She moved herself and her husband into the home she left behind, claimed her right as the Bérubé family head, and began refining her skills both in combat and in magic with a zeal she never had before. ___________________________________________ Magical Circuit Switch: Its her compassion that drives, Jacqueline's magecraft, a family trait actually as the Bérubés have been known for their softhearted nature. Number of Magic Circuits: B Quality of Circuits: A ________________________________________ Elemental Affinity: Water Magecraft: Jacqueline is a master at healing magic, adept at summoning simple familiars, erecting barriers, and has bred various chimera. Ethereal Surgeon: This is a form of rather revolutionary healing magic that takes it inspiration from modern day surgery techniques. Using finely tuned magic to stitch and repair inner body damage backed by minor regeneration, optimizing utility above all else without the aid of incantation or herbs. This offshoot of restorative magic takes more focus but less magic by far, based off a more practical, grounded application of magic. Spring of Life: At its core the Bérubés family magic is defensive, restorative, perfect for this family's pacifist ideals. Barriers of ice waters that restore and heal, the concept of primordial life, the Bérubés family goal. The creation and nurturing of her Chimera is done through this aspect of her magic, the focus of it for her. Crest Age: Fifteenth Generation Weapons: Suzie and Cornelius Suzie is a pale white and insanely fluffy, looking like an overgrown Balinese cat. She is more than fluff and a love for cuddling, Jacqueline bred her with speed in mind, as she can run at cheetah speeds in small bursts. What’s more she’s a venomer, equipped with a neurotoxin designed to paralyze.. She acts like an average house cat, painstakingly trained, but a house cat all the same. Cornelius is a dead ringer for a purebred Akita, black and brown mottled fur, and built like a small bear. He’s as strong as any full grown brown bear and can harden his skin which can’t be pierced by conventional weapons. He is fiercely loyal to Jacqueline, never leaving her side, no matter the reason, except when she tells him too. Mystic Codes: Tears of Bérubés: These fifteen tears are set in a beautiful necklace, each a crystallized drop of pure water, the sort without impurities of any kind. Each was crafted for months by a head of the Bérubés. One can be used to heal someone from even the most dire wounds. (Doesn't work if they are already dead.) True/ False Standing: True Master.

True Name: Edward Fawkes Alias(es): Guido Fawkes, John Johnson, Guy Fawkes Servant Class: Assassin Gender: Male Birth/ Death Date: April, 13, 1570 - January, 31, 1606 Alignment: True Neutral Catalyst: The rope from which the anarchist hung. Wish: “To inspire a new brand of revolutionary, one who changes history through words and speeches, not fire and the smoke that soon follows.” Personality: Fawkes is eloquent, flamboyant, and polite, an enigma who waxes poetic every chance he gets and remains perfectly calm in the face of any danger, setback, or straight up loss. He is the type of person to smile fondly at his opponent upon the time of his death and congratulate them for their cunning and skill. He is ever complimenting his allies and enemies as well. While he will not bow to kings and their authority he still treats them with respect as he believes anyone should be. While he is in fact a heroic spirit (something that baffles him to no end) Fawkes still believes himself nothing more than a man, flesh and blood, and is as such irritatingly humble. Backstory: He had been part of a conspiracy to blow up Parliament, a plot that had failed, and was the one found guarding the dynamite that would have done the job. Fawkes’ story really begins on the day of his capture, those last days he spent among the living, reconciling over what he had been apart of. Fawkes became beside himself when he realized the implications, the carnage he would have wrought. It was this deep sorrow and regret that moved his lips to speak true, not the whips and chains of his captors. It did not change his mind on the tyranny gripping England, how it needed to be stopped, and wished more than anything to fix his mistake. Fawkes realizes that it was not smoke and flame that changes history, but words and the will to speak them. Thus is his wish, to bring about change with words, not war. Appearance: Fawkes appears for the Grail War as a tall, thin man wearing a rich, if indistinguishable dark suit and flowing cloak. He will be wearing his iconic Guy Fawkes mask, a staple of his identity. He carries with him a sterling silver watch that he’s always fumbling with. Weapons: Fawkes employs flash-bangs, fire bombs, grenades, explosive lock boxes. Fawkes uses a little silver pocket watch to detonate his bombs. Parameters Strength: E Endurance: D Agility: C (C++) Mana: C Luck: C (C++) NP: C Class Skill Presence Concealment Rank: C+ Personal Skills Subversive Tactics Rank D Fawkes spent some time as a soldier and a competent one at that. He can employ his bombs in ways to weed out enemy units other Servants are employing. Kingsbane Rank: B Fawkes’ name became synonymous with anarchy and his face a symbol of revolution, a bane to any calling themselves king until there were no more kings. Against any Servants that sat upon a throne during their lifetime Fawkes is granted a ++ buff to Luck and Agility. Embodiment of Anarchy Rank A Fawkes’ image was and has been a symbol of anarchy for the modern world, all know the Fawkes mask and what it represents. As such the favored weapon of the anarchist, explosives, have a special kick when Fawkes uses them. Fawkes can detonate his explosives while in spirit form and Servants caught in his explosions are momentarily blinded, losing awareness for a single moment. As a side bonus, Fawkes is unaffected by his explosions. Noble Phantasms: Anonymity, Anarchist's Mask Rank B Type: Anti-Unit/ Anti-Team (+Self) Range: 1-10 Number of Targets: 1-9 Anyone can be an anarchist, everyone can be and no one can be; Fawkes was considered one in his day and acts as a symbol for them to this day. Fawkes can morphe his appearance to look like anyone so long as he has seen them, even if it has been through a photograph. Fawkes can make up to nine other people look like someone else, the duration depends on Fawke’s pool of Mana. Remember, Remember… Rank D- Type: Anti-Fortress Range: N/A Number of Targets: 1 Fawkes one goal at the end of his life was to blow up Parliament, the physical symbol for the British governments, while he never succeeded, he will now. This bomb will be his masterpiece, his pièce de résistance. Once planted, his timepiece will start to countdown, chiming once every minute, once it chimes five times, the bomb will blow. Any structure this bomb detonates in is reduced to rubble, real or magical.
