Objective for the Grail Has no real desire for the grail itself and is looking forward mostly for the opportunity the grail war presents in providing magus thought patterns Personality A cold individual who dislikes ‘bothersome things’ and only does the bare minimum to meet his own obligations. Generally disinterested in the humdrum that fills his life, when he acquires something rare or of some value, then he shows some childlike enjoyment upon doing so. Family History A line of classical alchemists who seek not the Philosopher’s Stone, but instead, for the purity of spirit by applying the four processes upon the mind. By doing so they hope they could reach that place which has no name by gaining the ‘mindset’ of God. Their history cannot be said to be particularly exceptional, each head has simply further their own understanding of their magecraft to the best of their ability, no matter how meager it may be. In that regard, they can be considered an excellent magus family for carrying on their family duties. Loathe to enter the political snakepit that festers within the Clocktower, nonetheless, they have recently allied themselves within the Meluastea faction, but internal strife within the faction itself has led to them simply just withdrawing most support save for the absolute minimum expected of them. In short, they are your average magus family with no major deviations from their contemporaries. Biography The fifth-generation head of the Viotella. Much like his own family history, the most anyone could say about him is just how average his entire life has been so far. Such an impression was not something created without work, however. If he could point to one regret within his life, it would have been inheriting the position as a family head. Ever since the second generation head had decided to enter the politics in hopes of meeting similar minded people and receiving the support of others, the Viotella have become tired of the pointless squabbling within the Meluastea faction. Since then, they have consigned themselves to the backgrounds, cultivating an image of mediocrity so they may fly under notice. They have succeeded in their goal to do so and have secluded themselves within their own estate, content to further their understanding of alchemy and of the human mind. After attending the Clocktower and extending their token support to the Meluastea, Jordanuev took the headship of the Viotella, and then once again secluded himself.
Magical Details
Family Attribute: Gleaming The Viotella family attribute. A means of momentarily reflecting (revealing). Utilizing this attribute, the underlying structures(meaning) are invoked, serving as a mean to ‘undo’ processes or as a method of confirmation. Origin Subterfuge Elemental Alignment Air Magic Circuits B Circuit Quantity B Circuit Composition Normal Circuit Switch The sound of a glass container shattering upon contact with the ground Magic Crest Age Five Generations
Magecraft
General Fundamentals The basics of magecraft as taught in the Clocktower. Jordanuev is particularly skilled in the usage of sympathetic and contagious magecraft. Air Magecraft Spells centered around the manipulation of air, however, rather then a vulgar means of attacking, the Viotella utilize it as more of a vector of transmission and a method of retention. Alchemy A magecraft primarily centered around the art of transmutation, that is, the art of change. Through alchemical processes, one may change the properties of materials in the pursuit of others. However, the Alchemy the Viotella so doggedly pursue has more in common with those Alchemists who toil away within the Giant’s Pit, but rather than transforming future events, they focus on transforming the mind. Bounded Fields A subset of magecraft focused on the separation of an “inside” from the “outside”. In conjunction with the Viotella specialty, it is, in essence, a method to outwardly express the psyche. Familiar Magecraft Through the use of ether clumps, by creating a slime type familiar to serve the purpose of a mold for the extracted mental processes, Jordonuev processes and refines the thought patterns captured and distills them down to the base elements of the mind and filters them so only the base elements of the individual are left. Mental Interference Rather then the transmutation of physical materials or other conventional types of alchemy, the Viotella are more concerned with the transmutation of the mind, as a result, they delved within the studies of the mind and how to interfere and interact with it.
Mystic Codes
Black Bottle/ Devouring Plague Dark Homunculus The culmination of the Viotella’s study and understanding of the element of air. In western occult traditions, it is said that air retains the impressions left on it and carries it for a period of time. It is a witness, a record of misdeeds and wrongdoings, a collection point of ‘bad vibes’. Collected throughout the ages by the Viotella, it is a super weird substance. An idea is charged into the air serving as a sort of pathogen, invading the recesses of the mind. It applies the process of Nigredo to the self in a process of ‘individuation’, where the mind becomes aware of its own shadow aspects, pushing it further into a moment of absolute despair before materializing the Shadow of the infected and forcing a confrontation. A mystic code primarily utilized within the Viotella family to undergo the first step in the creation of the Magnum Opus. However, those without having undergone the extensive preparations beforehand may find themselves unprepared in confronting the deepest and darkest parts of their psyche or facing the most despair-inducing time of their lives. Pandora’s Blessing/ A Hope Entrapped Within A Stone A gift from those who have to tread the same path, thrown into the future as a guide for those who seek to continue their trek from where they have ceased. The preserved thought patterns of the previous heads of the Viotella harvested and materialized into a (false) Philosopher’s Stone. While not able to achieve feats on the level of a true photonic crystal, it is still capable of carrying out a host of calculations.
Misc.
Non-Magecraft Abilities Art Jordonuav himself prefers utilizing images as a vector for mental interference. As it is his preferred means of transmission he himself had taken to art as a means to improve his magecraft and as a hobby. Stealth Rather than sneaking or other active means of avoiding detection, it’s more like his physical presence itself is weak enough to escape notice. Sleep Even for a magus, his aptitude for sleep management itself is first class, capable of falling asleep nearly on command or eluding it if he so desired for near unrealistic amounts of time.
Personality:
An easygoing individual who takes things at face value. It is her naive disposition that causes her the most trouble, as because of it and her anxious fits whenever she comes across a troublesome situation she immediately goes towards the most extreme response available. … No matter how kindly you put it, in simple terms, she is the type of person to give up immediately in the face of hardship. However, in dire situations, she will show tremendous courage and overcome her doubts. When communicating with her beloved or her benefactors, she shows a ‘lovey-dovey’ side of her. An individual very easy to get along with.

Biography
Born to the monarchs of a certain country, Psyche was the youngest of three daughters. What had separated her from her sisters, however, was her beauty, which was said to be so tremendous, that language itself could not describe her. Citizens from all of Greece would come to make a pilgrimage to come and see her, paying her homage which was owed only to Aphrodite herself. So great was she, that the temples and festivals of Aphrodite would be abandoned, as people would come to praise her in her stead. Growing indignant, the goddess herself expressed her displeasure, ordering her son, Cupid, to come down to the mortal realm to punish Psyche by making her fall in love with some lowly being. Obeying his mother Cupid went to the gardens of Aphrodite, gathering two pitchers which he filled one with bitterness and the other with joy. Naked to the human eye, he hovered over Psyche in her sleep and pricked her with an arrowhead which he dipped into the pitcher of bitterness. Upon seeing her face, which had contorted in suffering, he took pity and dropped joy over her hair after he pricked her with his arrow. Waking up to this unexpected sensation, Psyche’s eyes opened to an empty room, while Cupid himself panicked and pricked himself with his own arrow. Quickly making his way outward, unheeding of his wound, he retreated back into his abode. Psyche’s parents, however, were worried now that no suitor had come to court their youngest. Fearing that they may have angered the gods somehow, they consulted an oracle of Apollo, who answered, “The virgin is destined for the bride of no mortal lover. Her future husband awaits her on the top of the mountain. He is a monster whom neither gods nor men can resist." Fears confirmed, this proclamation dismayed the populace, everyone abandoning themselves to grief. Psyche, however, took her fate in stride. Accepting whatever the gods had planned for her, she willingly prepared herself accordingly. Dressed for marriage, the following procession seemed more like that of a funeral rather than nuptial pomp. Upon reaching the craggy rock, the west wind carried her to a gorgeous palace, where a mysterious voice introduced himself as her husband. Fear melted away, and as the days passed by Psyche soon began to enjoy the mysterious presence’s visits and delighted in the services provided by her many attendants. One day, her sister’s came to visit, and upon seeing the finery she was surrounded by, greed began to fill their hearts, and they soon convinced Psyche to take a peak upon her lover’s face armed with a knife in case he really was a monstrous youth. Agreeing, she took a candle and a weapon, and in Cupid’s rest, took a glance upon his divine face. Woken up by a drop of wax that escaped her candle, Cupid flew away in sorrow. Heartbroken, Psyche made her way back home, where her spiteful sister’s thought to themselves, “Perhaps now he will choose one of us.” Jumping from the craggy rock, they called for Zephyrus, who did not answer, and they perished upon dashing their heads at the bottom. Psyche soon later had gathered her resolve and had then gone on a journey to find her husband. Through many trials set by Aphrodite and the generosity of many other’s, she was soon able to gain the approval and endorsement of Zeus, king of gods, and was able to be truly wed with Cupid. Supported by Cupid, taking most of the burden in supporting Psyche as a servant. Magic Resistance: C Cancels spells of two verses or lower. Cannot defend against magecraft on the level of High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals.
Personal Skills
Divinity: A After suffering many trials and overcoming them only to fall prey to her own curiosity at the very end. It was by the grace of Cupid and Zeus that she was able to finally wed the God of Love and drink the sweet nectar of gods, granting her immortality and godhood. Fire Support (Cupid): EX The affections of the god Cupid taking shape in the form of he himself firing arrows for his beloved spouse. Though Psyche herself is not capable of competently firing a bow, this skill is what qualifies her as an Archer. Princess of Loveliness: EX Throughout the entirety of Psyche’s long adventure to prove her worth to her mother-in-law, she has been an individual who has attracted to her assistance. Inspired by her beauty, which exceeded even that of the goddess Aphrodite, many beings took pity upon seeing such a beautiful being in such a pitiful state. From even the mightiest gods to the lowliest ant, or even a tower, she was able to attract to her individuals who helped her overcome hardships. Passage Into The Unknown: A Dressed in wedding clothes, yet attended to as if it were a funeral rather then a wedding. It was said that Psyche would be wed to a dragon-like creature who harasses the world with fire and iron and is feared by even Jupiter and the inhabitants of the underworld. Fearing for their daughter’s life, yet powerless against the fates, Psyche’s parents had combined both her wedding and funeral together before her transition towards a mysterious future. Though her marriage could have been said to be false, through trials and tribulation she was able to fulfill the ‘karma’ of her transcendent beauty. Transforming something ‘false’ into something ‘true’. This skill allows for the transition of things possessing a dual nature, much like how curses and blessings are the same things, it simply allows for things to go from being false to being true.
