yeah, I don't like leaving a blank post. My opinions have changed enough on most characters to warrant doing this and get something productive out of it. I'll only post my thoughts here on characters I think are worth mentioning, full overhauls are coming at some other point.
Taka is not a character. His problem is that he had a good dynamic in the original run, but is left woefully wanting in this one. I need more time to hopefully establish them. That said, the Taya persona has been working miracles. Having her decide to interact with Izo was a good idea as the two bounce well off each-other, with Izo being stoic giving a nice contrast to Taya's bubbly energy. I'm not sure if this'll be a one-time thing, but I'm definitely impressed with how well both characters shine by talking to each other... because really, that's all they've been doing. Talking to each other. Taka: 4/10 Taya: 7/10

Oh poor Ayu. I haven't been able to squeeze her into any worthwhile situations, except for one interacting with Momoe. That one post was good, as far as I'm concerned, but everything else I've written with her has been woefully lacking and bland. I hope I handle this character better in the future. 5/10

Best. Fucking. Character. She's so dynamic and has such realistic reactions to all the happenings around her. I think Adda has been on-point with her from day 1, and I'm absolutely in love with their characterisation. 10/10

So originally I had this whole thing where Maiya feels one-note and bland, but then Lana hits me in the face with a goddamn baseball bat and calls me a cunt for doing it by posting in the middle of writing this. The post sure as shit helps Maiya feel like a character and not just 'cinnamon bun simulator 2021' that being said, the post itself has one flaw: overusing her stutter. Maiya stutters about twice in most dialogue sections and that's just too much. There's better ways to get her shyness across than this. In fact, you've been doing it: Having her panic internally and constantly second-guessing herself. Stop relying on the stutter and start relying on that, damn it! But yeah, Maiya is going the right way. 7/10

Izo's good. 7/10

Perfectly flawed. Emiya is the perfect example of a good 'perfect' guy. He's selfless, he's kind, he fights for what's right... and it makes him so, so wrong. He doesn't know what being a hero is, despite being the perfect hero. He tries to help everyone, but can easily make a situation worse. He tries to do the right thing and does it, but in the wrong way. Emiya is fucking great. But I'm still going to call you out on ripping him from somewhere else, even if this clearly isn't the same guy. 8/10

Flare impressed me once we got around to the second day. We can see her being proactive and useful while not hogging the spotlight, and she definitely feels like there's a lot of depth to be found in her. Adda's doing really good on her. 7/10

In the same vein as Flare, Serious has Serious-ly impressed me with Chikako. Chikako is dynamic, active and really fucking dumb. That makes her endearing and I think Serious knows exactly what she's doing with her. It's a joy to read this character fuck up in new ways each time and we can all collectively cringe at her in the best way possible. 8/10

This one has been hurt the most by Aime being gone. Unlike Ryuma and Hibiki, she's not a character who I had any thoughts on that remained intact despite not being around. The former two had clear character and intrigue ahead of time, but Naomi lacked anything to make her stand out and be interesting. For that reason, unfortunately, she feels like a waste of a slot at the moment. 3/10

Okay, real talk? I didn't expect Momoe to blow up like she did. She's... not a character I intended to be this much in the spotlight. Much like Ando, she was designed to be a character to cause some discord among the cast. Unlike Ando, she's really fucking good at her job and doesn't look stupid while doing it. Momoe is very wrong about everything and is too harsh on everyone. I feel like there's a lot of potential there still to unwrap, and I like that everyone seems to think so too. 8/10
