Everyone who applied will be contacted via private message today.  If you haven't received a message, it just means I haven't gotten to you, yet, but you will get one.  Thank you to everyone for showing interest and applying!  With our roster in place, I will work on getting the IC post going.

As far as what went in to selecting applicants...
I deliberately requested that no detailed history be given about your characters because I want dialogue to have much more meaning in this game than those I've played in the past.  As characters, you'll actually be asking eachother questions [i]you want to know[/i] rather than trying to fish out a bio factoid just so your character knows it IC even though you've known it OOC since the beginning.  Gives conversations more meaning, in my eyes, and gives you a greater chance at evolving your character and growing with it.

I know it's awkward to break from tradition but that's what I'm hoping to do with this RP, from the applications to the execution, we're trying something different.  This isn't going to be my game, it's going to be [i]our [/i]game, our world.  I've already talked to some of you about how we're going to shape it together and it's exciting for me.  Everyone will have the opportunity to impact lore should they be willing.

I didn't request writing samples because most of you have a detailed history of RPing that can be accessed through your profile.  Your writing samples were already submitted and reviewed. If you look at your profile, I'm one of the Recent Visitors. For those who were new and didn't have a history of RPing on the guild, chances are I spoke to you privately.

Another motivation to the choices was based on balance.  Male to Female, Volunteers to Sentenced, Humans to Monsters. Which pairs and combos could be the most interesting? Some of you have less RP experience, some have more, but everyone has their own flavor.  We're not doing vanilla.  Let's rocky road this bitch.
