He had not meant to brush up against this woman with his wingtip. Master Kameina’s voice echoed in his mind, reminding him that he should never touch a woman unless it was to save her life. But right now the frightened pteranodon felt like he was the one who needed saving from the amazonian Sheeban. “I’m so sorry ma’am! I did not mean to disrespect you by touching you.” Hiko apologized profusely. The giantess grabbed Hiko’s tail and leaned in towards him. The sensation of his tail being clutched by Sheeban was odd. He’d had his tail grabbed before in combat, by opponents who were unaware that it was Hiko’s most powerful appendage. But this felt different, it was awkward and uncomfortable. Yet somehow pleasant, though Hiko couldn’t tell why. As the woman leaned forward, Hiko could see down her chest. He quickly averted his eyes upward, forced to meet her piercing gaze. Sheeban barked at Hiko about how people like he and her were not like the tinier tournament participants and that they deserved to be eaten. Hiko, was taken aback by this rhetoric that flew in the face of everything he’d been taught by Master Kameina. Her message seemed the exact opposite of the Tsubasan principles of humility and compassion. All this made Hiko unsure about whether he would want to learn from a woman like this. Especially hearing her say that she was a princess, Hiko could only imagine what the frugal and spiritual monks of his temple would say if he knew he was consorting with royalty. Hiko tried to squeak out a response, “M-my name is H-Hiko Kyoryu, student of Tsubasa Temple…your highness.” He was certain she wanted him to speak louder, but it was the best Hiko could manage with how flustered he was. Plus, he didn’t want to cause an even bigger scene. He could already see curious eyes glaring over at Sheeban and him. [/color]
