Where I did come from, a reply a day or more was seen as normal, and I'm a bit more these days like what you said for folks for a given story. Doesn't help our place is getting shut down, and some folks are busy, so it adds a weird sense of urgency. Which sucks, I guess. Anyway, time to edit the sheet!
